Here are my plans for upgardes. Gauges(boost, EGT,FP),Fass pump only, SB clutch, F1 Edm 1. 5's, 4 Inch Exhaust, and a performance box. I really want to go with the VA, but I was also wanting the truck to keep fueling all the way to 3,000. I wondering if a drag Comp would do this without the wire tapped? Not really wanting monster power, just a little more power without having to change the turbo and worry about messing up my daily driver and weekend trailer pulling truck. The big selling points on the VA and the comp are the ability to turn them off.

If you don't want to tap the wire, just get an Edge EZ. I personally like the TST because it does not drastically change the timing (only about 8-9 deg), but this will cause your egts to get hot fast.

You can always get the Blue Chip pump cover and pierce the injection pump wire that way.

All the things you wrote down are good, but before you get a box get the mad ECM it works so good that i never put my box on that much any more. With my box on and the ECM i can't keep the tires from breaking lose,it runs like an animal. By the way I have a drag comp. I toe a 3place snowmobile trailer with the box off and the tires will still break lose.

Has anyone heard of doubling up with chips/ boxes?

I talked to a guy at a diesel shop who said I could use a box like an EZ with my current superchips tuner.

I am not really pleased with the performance of my superchips, but like the fact it can read potential fault codes, etc.

Should I junk the superchips and go with EZ, or can I get an EZ and use in conjunction with superchips tuner?

Any other ideas, without paying out the nose?

Now that I've gotten Marco's Catcher ECM (aka MAD ECM), I'm a believer. I would recommend getting that over an EZ. It wouldn't cost much more if you use your ECM as a core. The thing is, don't use the superchips tuner on a catcher ecm, it'll wipe it out.

Ever since I installed the Catcher ECM, I don't use my Comp much anymore. I used to run 5x5 all the time, and now it's a bit much. Great product.

Thanks for the replies. I have been thinking about the Macro ECM, but if I do I am going to keep my stock ECM as a spare and just purchase a used one to go to Macro. Thanks again
