Hello all, I have a 2002 Dark Garnet Red Pearlcoat and I'm wanting to go with a two tone paint scheme. The truck came from the factory with the silver bottom. I'm wanting to do away with the silver. Looking at the dark garnet red pearlcoat on the sides and a different color on the top side. Was thinking painting the rally wheels same color as top. Thanks Craig

Younow have have contrasting colors with bright silver and red, but I think your wanting dark colors to compliment your truck.

Recommend black, dark gray (gun metal), or dark brown.

Look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Cheers. Ron

Personally, I like the silver. Maybe a different color silver with a little more "pop" or, as WD said, a darker gray with a good amount of flake in it would look nice, too.

This was my '95 before it got totaled. I thought it was a beautiful truck.

I would throw a Sport front on it and paint the whole thing Dark Garnet Red Pearlcoat and leave the wheels silver. Actually find a set of 3rd gen 17" Stainless Clad wheels and then put some real brakes on it. 3rd gen cradles, calipers, rotors and pads. You will ****Z your pants on how insane the braking is!

Thanks, I will keep that in mind on the brake conversion.

Gold looks good with Garnet, personally not a fan of gold. I would also go all garnet but good luck with whatever you decide.

What is wrong with red over silver? Silver goes well with your flat bed. If those are 245/75R16E, I would look for a set for the late 2nd gen aluminum wheels and put 265/75R16E on it.

I do have a set of 265/75R16E on the rally wheels now and I have a set of the Aluminum wheels also. I had a dully conversion on it at one time that is why the 245/75R16E were on it in that picture. I missed my hot rod and went back to single.

SnoKing. Those wheels will NOT allow the AWESOME 3rd gen front disk brake upgrade I listed earlier.

In fact I have a set in my shop in good condition I will let go cheap just like on your blue truck.

Thanks for all your reply's. A little history on the truck. I bought it little over 10 years ago. It had 77,000 miles on it and now has 123,00. I don't think it ever seen a garage before I bought it, judging from the faded cab lights. The paint is getting a little thin on top and the hood. (no pilling yet). This year didn't come with the insulation pad under the hood. At first I didn't like the color but grew to like it.

What I'm thinking I don't really want to open a bucket of worms and change colors. I have been checking on a maroon/burgundy that is not metallic the same color as the Dark Garnet Red. (no glitter). Paint the sides and hood that color and paint the top pinecrest green (56 chevy color). And paint the rally wheels or steelies pinecreat green. Top paint scheme will be like the picture I have inserted. "B" post will be green not the black. You've either love it or hate it. With that being said I'm still open to suggestions.
