2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission what do think of LUCAS heavy duty oil stabilizer

we where just adding 4 0z MM oil to a oil change and it worked good

we have a ford bronco that had a hell of a tap in the engine

a friend has a engine shop he told me to put one qt of trans fluid to a oil change and run it 150 miles and change it and start adding 4oz mm oil

the tapping was not there it run so nice

so we add 4 0z of the red mm oil to every oil change

but what do you thank of this Lucas oil stabilizer

it thick as honey we will see how it works out in the dodge 24v

If you'll notice, "Bob the Oil Guy" is a Schaeffer oil dealer. Just looks like another biased test to me. If you read the thread about those tests, he refuses to test the Lucas with the Schaeffer oil, hmmm... wonder why? He claims that it would upset the chemistry of the Schaeffer stuff, yet he wasn't too worried about messing with Pennzoil's product. What a crock.



Reminds me of the AC Delco air filter test that all the newbies like to pass around here claiming that it proves that K&N's are junk.

Bob the oil Jerk gets on my nerves, disquising his marketing as "scientific" findings.



I've used many of the lucas oils products with none of the BS he is spouting about. In fact, I just put the trans treatment in my plow truck(90 dodge with 318 and automatic) and it eliminated the slipping it was having.

While I don't appreciate your sarcasm, that's probably the biggest compliment Gary has ever gotten! :-laf It doesn't take an astro-psysicist to figure out that test isn't really on the up-and-up, buddy.



Oh, and my reference to the AC Delco filter test was just to demonstrate how a lot of people think one single test is the end to all arguments about a certain product. I don't use K&N filters either (after I found out their flow rates). I wouldn't say they are junk though - they do have their place in the racing world.

I definately do NOT like it in the oil. I sold it for a while and had a bunch of customers come back with knocking problems. even mixed correctly, it seemed to thicken the oil so much that it had caused cavitation problems starving the engine for oil for a second, which is all it takes. in anything else its ok, I have allways said if it needs an aditive there is something wrong with it. if not then you dont need anything

You hit it right on the nose HeavyHauler he just trying to put LUCAS down heavy duty oil stabilizer I like it use it in my truck work great I have never seen any air in my oil I think he is full of **** My mom use the LUCAS is her truck 95 CTD it has 800000 on it and no problems. I think we need to tell the guys at LUCAS there doing a great job.

Why dump anything in the oil. Many diesels run good on multi grade and get a million miles before overhauls. If you want some thing better buy some synthetics.

If you wanna do something good for your engine. Upgrade your oil filtration to something better. Clean cheap oil is twice as better than the best additives or synthetics. This comes directly from the diesel engine manufactures.

Why do you need ANY additive in your oil? If you need more BUY BETTER OIL! DUUUUUUUH.

I wouldn't touch the Oil Stabilizer.

That said, I've had good results with Lucas Auto Trans additive, and the Upper Cylinder Lubricant. Both are good products, imo.

I can't say I'm a big Lucas fan (I'd never use their engine oil or oil additives), but I really like most of the other stuff they make.
