i hate to burst anyones bubble but that KBB and nadaguides website is a real crock. Those numbers are all fictitious. I guess i'm lucky and can buy my vehicles at dealer auctions and save many thousands but i also see what goes on there. The money they make off vehicles is really sick.
22,000 for an '01 with 55k is pretty good. When 03's with 10k on them sell for 28k. When new vehicles hit the market they pummel the used truck value. My 02 depreciated 10 grand last year off "sticker price" Luckily i bought it cheap and now i only owe a few thousand less than what it is truly worth.
Worth is another arguable word. Your truck is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. If you can get someone to pay 28k, then its worth that... to them. But there is no way you will ever get a dealer to give you that. Try and sell it yourself for a while, you'll be able to get more for it if you can find a buyer. When speaking with a dealer just know that they are taking thousands from you and except it, if you can get past that then your home free.
Having what you want can sometimes suck, because you have to pay for what you really want.

It seems the mighty Cummins is worth more than the Stealer sells buys them back for. I deposited a check for close to $30,000 today. As soon as the 04's are ready to order, ME FIRST
