I've added alot of things to my truck lately, and the horsepower has gone up quite a bit. But the one thing that hasn't really changed is where it comes on and where it drops off. It starts making power at around 1500 rpm, torque peaks at around 1800 rpm, hp peaks at around 1950 rpm. By the time it gets to 2300 rpm, hp is down 15% from peak. Is it possible to keep the hp and torque levels high for a longer period. I notice that the 24valve trucks seem to have hp peaks in the 2600-2700 rpm range. I have a 24 valve motor but it has a p-pump. Does the p7100 cause the narrow power band? Motor makes good power, it just seems that 500 rpm is a rather narrow power band .
