diesel school?

I'm so tired of getting ripped off by the fuel costs where I live - forget California - BUT here in the Pacific Northwest ( I include Oregon -Wa. - Id and West Mont) I know we're paying a lot more than other parts of the country. Now I know there are exceptions but here in Portland the Cheapest I have found is 2. 09 (Flying J) - and I realise that lots of places you guys are paying alomst more than 50 cents LESS per gallon!!!! ... . AM I WRONG! Please let me know real prices for fuel - where you guys are living... and can you also give me a sense if it's just went up/down or has been at this for some time.....

1. 759 Hasn't change but a couple cents down and then back up since mid winter. Was as low as 1. 689 a couple months ago. Some of the local stations have jacked the price up along with gas and are close to 1. 999 but the place I use 99% of the time has remained constat

$1. 79. 9 It must be cheaper here because we're closer to the coast and it doesn't have to travel as far... Um, OK, it's cheaper here because we... um... nevermind!

$2. 09. ouch! I think regular unleaded was down to $1. 89( was 2. 09+) at a few stations around hear today. The last time I filled up it was $1. 71 for diesel and I think it is still close to that now. I really have no problem paying what I do now for fuel, but I understand how some of you guys must feel. I know I would be ****** if I was paying WAY more for the same oil that everyone else in this country is using.

Paid $1. 69 tonight and have been paying $1. 63 at a station closer to work but didn't work today and needed fuel bad (it took 32 gallons) This is Central Texas.

1. 639 to 1. 659 where I normally buy. Some stations 1. 699 to 1. 739. Went through northeast Ga. Sat. , diesel about the same as here. Gas 18 to 21 cents a gallon cheaper than here in north Alabama.

Diesel $ 1. 73

Gas $ 1. 95 - $ 2. 12

I don't think I've seen this much difference between gas and diesel before. Usually 10 cents seperates diesel and gas. This year its about 25 cent difference beteen gas and diesel.

$1. 56 for a couple of weeks now. Gas is averaging 30 cents more than Diesel here. The vehicles I have are finally making me look smart.

fuel prices

Was a good article in the local paper last week, the reporter interviewed the "chairman" of the independent gas station owners org. he said more than six months ago that fuel prices could hit the 2 to 3 $ range this summer. fuel prices on the left coast are determined by the supply of crude, "of course" but he also explained "refinery capacity". The oil companies have been closing or repairing(ya right) refineries on the LEFT coast. Hence higher fuel prices. Until the oil companies build more refineries, prices will be higher on the west coast :( but then they think we can afford it:mad:
