Just made a run to vegas on buisiness an i think I ended up with a bad tank of fuel. Shortly after filling (within about 100miles) it started studdering real bad and had no power and wouldn't rev past 2000 rpm. I couldn't remember the last time I changed the fuel filter so I stopped and picked one up. Changed it in the parking lot and everything was back to normal. Well headed home about 50. miles outside of phoenix

it started doing it again. I limped it to phx and stopped and got another filter hoping to get home to tucson so I could drop the fuel. Changed the filter but it didn't fix it. Now I'm stuck in phx waiting for a tow truck. There are no check engine lights, it is idleing fine but will not rev above 2000. If it does rev past that it cuts out really bad. Its a 2003 3500 2 wheel drive with the nv 5600. Please, any help is appreciated.

I live in vegas and the chance of getting a bad tank of fuel is very slim..... I have never had an issue with bad fuel..... but not saying it cant be that either... . good luck, you have a head scratcher with that one

Well I checked the Rail Limiting valve and it was good, I had a buddy of mine with an early 04 come over and switched out our COV's, TaDa ran like a dream. Lift pump pressure stayed up at 10 PSI for the 25 mile test drive. Thank you TWest for all the troubleshooting you did with me via the telephone, I wouldnt have even know what a COV was if it werent for you. Now im just witing on my new one to arrive. Funny thing though, when i put my old one back in... its been working fine the last 2 days. I'm going to switch in the new one anyway just to be sure. Thank you to everyone that helped me solve this problem over the last few weeks. you are all life savers.

The New COV should be deliver today,it arrive in Tucson Yesterday. It nor uncommon for the valve to be removed and work correctly for some time.
