Jacked about my "NEW" system

What is your religious affiliation? Baptist?Catholic?Protestant?Methodist?Jewish?Luthern?Agnostic?Athiest?Buddist?Apastolic?Nondenominational?Taoist?Moslem?Other?None? Do you just go occasionally or every service? I just kind of wondered since it is Christmas time and Chirstmas supposed to be a celebration of the birth of the Savior. Just curious about what kind of people im hanging out with online:-laf.

Non-denominational Bible Church. Go most every week and also to a separate Bible study class for the past 5 or 6 years.

Merry Christmas,

Dan

E-Free church here as well. Go every week. Actually been thinking about seeing if any of you guys here would be open to a online daily devotional. I am really bad at keeping up on that stuff, and since this dreaded computer takes up alot of my time, why not. I spend more time studying about my truck that I do my faith. Kinda sad. As I do very much care and love my savior alot more than i do my truck. My truck is just a object and a tool, it doesnt love me, thats for darn sure! ;) Anyway, I was thinking of asking the mods here to see if a devotional forum would be a possibility. Maybe even make it a private forum, that if you want it, you ask for it, but it doesnt show up unless you asked. Just to keep some of the people happy that dont peticularilly care for the conversation. Yeah yeah, could go to bible thumper sites and do that, BUT, us diesel head types dont fit into the category to well. Not because we dont fit in as a Christian, just its hard to talk about turbos and stuff with fellow christians, they look at me like, WHAT? So, thought it would be kinda cool to have a section if possible. I guess it could just be posted in the political area, but I dont want it to be debates on the daily devotional, which I have a feeling some in the section may push for that.

Anyway, MERRY CHRISTMAS! :D

I was a pastor for forty-seven years, retired in 2002. I spent thirty-five years in Assemblies of God churches in Colorado and Nebraska and ended my career after twelve years in a non-denominational community church here in Boise. Since I retired I do supply work in a very wide variety of churches. I spent nine months as the interim pastor of an Evangelical Free Church here in town.

I currently attend (when I'm not on assignment) a great independent Charismatic church called Church of the Harvest.

Gene

Evangelical Christian , attend an E. V. Free church for 11 years and weekly home group fellowship. I do some on line devotionals.

Jesus is the reason for the season

Merry Christmas to all

Roman Catholic, go every Sunday. Was in the Seminary for 3 years and left when the call was over.

We Wish everyone a Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year.

My parents were both raised Mennonite, and so that was the upbringing I had. I've been in the Mennonite church, non-denominational, Apostolic, independant Baptist, Church of God, etc. We've been going to Temple Baptist Church for a few years now and like it alot.

One thing I've learned at my young age is to just go with the Bible. If you agree 100% with an affiliation/denomination/etc, you're either not reading the Bible for yourself, or you don't put much thought and prayer into it. I've met wonderful people in all of the aforementioned churches. I've come to believe that the sign on the building you attend is nearly as important as the personal relationship you have with Jesus Christ!

Attend every service, every week...

Merry CHRISTmas everyone!

As long as it comes direct from the bible, it don't matter the church brand... ... ... .

Christ is the reason to celebrate. Just take a mommment to understand 1/10 how happy the people were to hear of the savior's birth. They didn't have to sacrifice animals and grain ALL THE TIME!!

Funny to come to the conclusion that Christ is the ONLY king born to SERVE as opposed to BE SERVED... ... . hummmmmm

I was raised Roman Catholic. I am non- practicing.

My "church" is all around me. I am more spiritual rather than religious. I am fortunate to live in the mountains with His majesty all around me. As long as I am open to His beauty surrounding me then it and His existance is real.

I can drive very little from my home to areas that are the most magnificent cathedrals never built by man. Only a Superior Being could create such places.

Add a little (OK a lot :)) of snow and it is even more incredible.

Anyone and everyone is welcome in my church.

-frank.

Absolutely GREAT idea.

I'm a Bible believing (The ENTIRE Bible BTW) Christian who attends a non-denominational church practically every Sunday.

I'm almost done reading the Bible! I've been doing a "Bible In A Year" with "Our Dailey Bread".

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Awesome. I have been meaning to do that as well, might have to be my new years resolution.

Evengelical Free Church.

If I may also add so there is no confusion. This is from my churches website :

The Evangelical Free Church of America is an association of some 1,250 autonomous churches united by a mutual commitment to serve our Lord Jesus Christ with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and obedience to the Word of God. We are committed to cooperate with one another in ministry and fellowship as we seek to fulfill the Great Commission which Christ has entrusted to His Church. The growing ministry of the EFCA currently extends to some 40 countries of the world.

The term Evangelical refers to our commitment to the proclamation of the Gospel and to the authority of Scriptures as being inerrant in the original autographs and the only safe and sufficient guide to faith and practice.

The term Free refers to our form of church government as being congregational. Evangelical Free Churches depend upon the active participation of lay people in the decisions and directions of the local church.

I'm from an Old Order Mennonite background. No affiliation with any particular denomination. I am a Christian with strong bents towards Judaism. I suppose I would fit the closest with Messianic Judaism.

What is an E-Free Church?
