I saw a bit of aviation history today!

I'm schizophrenic and so am I

Honda XR650L, on/off road bike, this allows me to buzz the trails or go on the road. It's actually a blast on the road and handles well. When I was living in Maine it was alot more fun because there are a million dirt roads there. I've been riding bikes and quads of all kinds since I was just a youngster when I started with my Honda Z 50. If I had disposable income I would be looking at a Buell or a Harley.

Last street bike I had was Honda V-65 Sabre. 1100 cc shaft drive "standard" . Bike would go 62 mph in first gear. Next bike is likely to be a 1800 GoldWing.

2002 softail standard, lowered front and rear 2", dragpipes and drag bars, and endless and pointless amounts of other chrome goodies as well... . i will c what i can do getting a pic or to up in the readers rigs

excellent bike if you have the money... .

honda goldwing:-{}

but to each his/her own

'84 Ninja 900. Bought it from a friend two years ago who bought it new. Only had 11k on it when I took posession has around 14k now. I use it for my running around in the summer saving the diesel. Also done a few mountain/canyon rides. Just sold this past summer a '89 Yamaha XT600. Great on/off road bike, but it was more off than on. Needed something that was comfortable at 65 and above. I'll be hitting yous guys up in the spring for tire opinions.

Custom built hardtail chopper and a Ducati 999. Also assorted dirt bikes. Been riding on the street for 22 years. I ride a lot.

Have not rode a bike since I sold my (da** can't even remember what year model it was)99 FLHTC Ulrta I think. Before that a few Harleys but the best one was my 87 Softail Custom I had. Took me to Sturgis twice and a few other states when they had Hog rallies. On our way to Sturgis we went thru Wyoming and made a loop thru Yellowstone. Actually I was looking for Whitmore and his other Wyoming buddies(yea you know who you are:D )but it was a no show. Actually he was probably still in diapers back then. I could of handled him back then but now:eek: :--) got a little off the subject. I keep hoping my son will buy one and then I will get to ride it.

94 harley softail nostalgia, burch white and platnum with just about all the chrome and engine goodies you can cram ont there.

93 FLHs Electra Glide Sport What it boils down to is a Road King before that name was thought up. Buy what your budget allows. This is my third Harley, first Big Twin. Had many other street bikes. Sears Allstate, Hodaka Wombat, 59 Sportster,750 Honda, 72 Sportster,KX400,Penton Six Days, V45 Sabre, Gl1000, Gl1100 Interstate, GL1200 Aspencade, and the FLHS. I think that is all, all I can remember at least. Enjoyed them all for one reason or another! Don.

2001 Harley Sportster - 883 turned into a 1200. (Have to BOMB everything). :D And I still have my first bike, a 1976 Gold Wing GL1000. Boy was that fun to learn on. :D

Big-bore

I've been riding dirtbikes and streebikes since 1979. Right now I have scaled back a bit and only have a 1995 Kawasaki KLX650C dual-sport (street legal dirtbike). My favorites have been big-bore streetbikes. I had a 1985 Yamaha FJ1100 and later a 1995

Kawasaki ZX11 D1. My next streetbike might be another used ZX11 or a new Suzuki SV1000 S.

What are you thinking of buying?

I've been riding street bikes since I was 16 (34 now) having put about 160,000 miles on in those years. I took 10 years off after a bad road racing wreck in 89. My current bike is a 99 Kawasaki ZRX1100 and it is by far the best street bike I've ever owned. What kind of bike are you looking at?

Steve, That Lawson replica kills me! I want one of them too. I have alway loved big-bore standards but I like to take long bike trips and have wanted a Gold Wing since I first rode a 1500 at Americade. I have seen GoldWings with 100,000 plus miles on them. Then again I saw a BMW K100 (2 yrs old at the time, the bike, not me) with 55,000 on it. I asked the guy if he got to ride much. His answer "Not as much as I'd like"

I was on the ZRXOA!

What's your handle over there? I was Chris-99ZRX-TX,

ZRXOA 2306. I tried to log on but I guess they dropped

me since I haven't posted in a few months.

My ZRX was totally stock, had about 2,300 miles on it and

was immaculate. Seems like everything cool I had at one

time I end up selling for some stupid reason (wife, money).

Steve, I am thinking of a Suzuki Bandit, or Yamaha FZ1. It is winter here and we just go our first rain. I will wait till spring and make a choice.

Had a 84 FJ 1100 in 86. Figured I was riding it too hard for the streets and got rid of it. Now I cruise along peacefully on my 1980 Yamaha Midnite Special, 850, triple. Ride about every third weekend or so, couple hundred miles a day on the two days. I got to where I just hit the backroads from about 8 or 9 am and ride to wherever until lunch time, then figure out how to get back home.

I just ordered a 04 YZF-R1 for next summer and can't wait ( 180 hp 379 lbs). This past summer I had a FZ1 and IMHO it is by far the best all around bike sold today, the only reason I replaced it was that we have a lot of twisty roads around here and I like to carve the corners as much as I can. :)

Let us know what you buy,

Kurt.
