I feel your pain on the regens. When they kick in, I can see it on the EVIC average. I thought it was supposed to be an overall tenth of a mpg but it sure seems like a lot more. I'll be cruising and the EVIC will be showing around 18-20 and all of a sudden it is down to 15 or 16 during what I assume is the regen. Then it comes back and stays at 18-20.
Anyone have any estimates of how much fuel is used in a regen cycle?
BTW, I have found that if I reset my EVIC average at each fill up, it is pretty accurate on MPG display. It is usually no more than . 2 off from the calculated and that could be attributed to the amount I'm putting in the tank and whether I'm getting it all the way full.
