what muffler can you recomend?

I believe there are alot of companies that sell an exhaust system from the muffler back. I will let the others chime in as they will know more than myself. I removed my resonator and installed a dynomax ultra flo muffler on mine. I know it isn't made for a diesel but I love the sound of it. It gives it a nice deep tone. Not much louder cruising around than the stock exhaust, until you put the hammer down. I do believe Dynomax sells a kit that is a race magnum muffler with a four inch pipe all the way to the tail. Hope this helps you out.

Where do I get it?

Where can I order the said Magna Flo muffler? Is it a direct fit to my 2001 or do I need some flanges too? One thing I hate is exhaust work. I need one REAL soon. the cops aren't very happy right now.

How do these things sound? Will it still have the turbo whine like no muffler, and just cut down on the over all loudness?

I love my muffler it does a great job. I mean it gives the toolbox some real competition. The way it holds down the floor in my barn. It looks great laying on the floor. It has a great sound to it espcially when I haul off and kick it across the floor. A nice mellow !THUD!

I have a NAPA straight through muffler. works pretty good. No restriction at all. It's holding down the tarp covering my metal pile.

But before I went straight pipe it worked really well and sounded good.

I have a DynoMax (forget the number) but I really like it. It's a straight thru with a little glass at either end. Sounds like no muffler @ idle, but takes the edge off the WOT. It was ~$68 from a place in TX. Let me know, I could look it up.

My muffler is also doing a great job!!! It helped to take up space in the county land fill and the cat is keeping the mice out of my shed. .

I have had mine straight piped for nearly 2 years... ...

Has anyone compared the Magnaflow to the Rhino 911?



Have been thinking about getting the Rhino, but havent ever heard the magnaflow 4". Maybe it sounds better.

carl, i like my Goerlich's truck muffler. not too loud, deep tone, and lot's of turbo noise out the pipe. i believe the number was 3653. found it at a local muffler shop, collecting dust. combined it with bully dog downpipe and tailpipe from ADT; www.smokindiesel.com. NO DRONE!!!

Muffler????,,Not sure what your talking about,,this was the second truck i parked outside my house and one night there was this intense bright white light and some noise outside,,Got up the next morning and went to leave and realized they did it again,,I'm not sure what in the world those little green men are doing with all those mufflers they are taking but they can have them,,Reality check--I've been mufflerless the last three trucks and would not have it any other way,,Long Live The Thunder Trucks !!!!!!!
