I am just confirming the condition of my engine and that I am good to go with 15K oil changes. If there was something suspicious I would have the Dealer take note of it so it's on file.

The TBN tells that there is a lot of life left in the oil. Someone else may chime in as I am not an expert! So for me doing an oil change at 15K and knowing it's ok top do so in reality saves me time and money even using a more expensive oil. Look at the viscosity numbers and the flashpoint, the oil is still in great condition. But like they say it's best to stay with the 15K as long as I am under warranty.

When I did an analysis on the rear diff fluid it showed it was BAD, yes I went over mileage but it showed their original fill was not a quality synthetic IMHO.

Well that confirms what I thought, and while under warranty two things ,I am under warranty, and covered, and while I don't do an oil analysis I am covered under warranty, :D at least for the time being

you have some higher levels. iron and copper.
but maybe just new engine...
here's mine to compare with, although mine is an 08...

Shell Rotella T6 5W-40 with a fleetguard filter. I don't worry about the cold much here in Texas but we do on occasion take a trip to the Rockies in the winter months.

ok..got my filter from Napa, and you can see in the pic the numbers. I got the filter cap today and it definitely doesn't fit. Wrong filter or wrong cap??? Threads do not go together!!!

Please school me on these filter caps. Are they wrench caps to remove filters? Or do they go on the open end to prevent oil.spillage?

The wrench cap.for my fleetguards doesn't fit my WIX fikters. I didn't really expect it to.

they plug the opening so no oil spillage.

I would advise while under warranty you use FleetGuard or Mopar filters.

Wrong filter. Get the Mopar or Fleetguard a others have stated.

Now tell us about our RV stuff. 4 or 6 cell batteries? What do you fly?

Something is wrong. The NAPA 7620 crosses to the LF3972 Fleetguard which is the non stratapore Fleetguard filter that fits the new RAMs.

Treads are 1" with 16 treads per inch. I would call Geno's to find out if you have the wrong cap. Treaded stud on cap should measure 1".

Best to use the LF16035 stratapore filters! NAPA does have a pricy7620XE, not sure if it is a Stratapore media filter. Snoking

I just asked napa for the filter...thats what they came up with. IN a small town with only a napa, Knechts, and an O-Reily's. I'll check with the big O's to see what they have.

as for the LiPo's, I fly RC helicopters. Mostly electric, 8 and 12 cell, anywhere from 6" to 2 meters in rotor diameter. Turbine too!!

WIX makes the NAPA. I bought the WIX XE (extra efficiency) (20-25 micron) before reading the "use only stratopore" cautions on this forum. But I use it with a 2 micron bypass filter. The only filter related failure I've heard of is with FRAM. Many years ago.

Although DEF problems are rare, they are more common than oil/filter problems. So I have been using mopar-branded DEF.

Thats pretty spendy that Mopar DEF. IMO its all about the age on DEF. I just make sure I get some pretty fresh DEF. Peak Blue DEF is what I have always used ,I read many use the Supertech from Walmart. Both have a manufacturing date.

Yep. Spendy. But at one 2.5 gal jug per 6 months, it's not a huge cost. The dealer receipt shows the date and the lot# can be looked up by upc. The dealer records show how long they have stored it. I am under the impression it has at least a year warranty. Normally, everything bought at the dealer has a 2 year warranty

As said its all about the date. Who do you suppose makes their DEF ? Look up the date, is the date not on the box ? Just curious, my son was running the Mopar DEF, until I let him know about other brands that I was using . He does use a lot more then I do. Like you I don't have much of an issue on the cost, but just how fresh.

Its kind of like the Mopar picture frame hitch adapter , its made by Reese , with the Mopar brand on it. If I remember it was at least $100.00 more for the Mopar then the identical Reese.

I'm not sure what you mean by a warranty on DEF ?

Just buy ALL your filters from genos or Amazon.

Couldn't agree more with Amazon, but Genos

Current prices as of today :

Amazon : Set of two Mopar fuel filters $72.00 plus $7.00 to ship $79.00

Genos : Set of two Mopar fuel filters 113.90 plus shipping , which would probably be in the $7-10 range minimum of $121.00. For that price put $37.00 more with it, and get two sets from Amazon.

I like Genos , but giving a minimum of $42.00 more for a set of filters
