Two cases of 10w30
Three cases of 5W 30
One case of 5W 20
One case of synthetic 5W 20
2 cases of synthetic 0W 20
Two cases of synthetic 5W-30
Some shop towels, gear oil, brake cleaner, and oil dry.

In the engine I have T6 Rotella.

I've heard of people doing it before an oil change years ago. Engines don't really tend to sludge up like they did 30 years ago. Current oils are fortified with detergents and do a pretty good job keeping engines clean as long as proper maintenance intervals are followed

When I worked in service stations in the late 50's and early 60's we had people that believed in that. Actually had a neighbor next door that was doing in the the mid 50's. So it is a lot more that 30 years old. SNOKING

Before diesel exhaust after treatment, I used to put my used atf in my fuel tank and mix it with the diesel.

I did not read that whole link, but, there were a lot of folks who did that when I was growing up. There are also quite a few who would use kerosene to clean out the engine, similar to what the John Deere manual recommended.

Oh, and don't leave out running the engine at 1500 - 2000 RPM while you slowly pour the ATF into the carburetor to clean out the carbon deposits on the head and pistons.

For me It's every 8,000-9,000 miles. Or every year. That comes out to about every other oil change. Sometimes every 3rd oil change

Not on a 2013 & newer 3500 or a 2014 & newer 2500.....

So if 4WD is rarely used, this isn't a big deal to get on every oil change. My dually never goes off pavement and is used for pulling my 5'er and bouncing around town. Stays in the garage most of the winter.

Ny 2011 did NOT have the grease fitting and at 65k it was still good upon trade in.
