Another question. If, when adding DDII'S
with the 'EZ' disconnected, and the 'EZ boost elbow' not installed and the stock one in, will the "overboost" code(alarm?)
show up on my dash or scanner?

I don't think that you will get an overboost code with the stock boost elbow in place, that elbow will not allow the boost past 20. 5 psi's or so, no matter what stage injectors you put in. Now, if you were to run with the aftermarket boost elbow and no EZ box, then the overboost code will enter the picture. At least that's my take on it, never tried the aftermarket elbow without the EZ installed.

Robby,
When I first put the DDII's in I drove around for a week with the stock boost elbow in place and my EGT's were sky-high! You have to have the modified boost elbow in to keep the air flowing. The map sensor is the actual part that tells the ECM that you are overboosting. Another thing that happens is with the map sensor seeing 20+ psi of boost, the ECM cuts way back on the fueling in the injector pump.

I've never seen an 'EZ' box in person, but doesn't it have wires you could leave hooked up to the map sensor?

For a couple of months I drove around with the DDII's and DD boost elbow and NO boost module. Power was good up to 26psi,but you could feel the fuel getting cut off. Yes,I always had an overboost code set in the ECM because of no boost module. I work at a dealership,so I was able to erase the codes. It made all the difference when the module did go in.

03/00 and above won't set off a code or the light, it'll just log in into memory. No shutdown on overboost either. Tested mine at the dealer and showed 40+ consistent with no codes. Pushed the button and shot up to 52 but it didn't show it on the reader... T
