what size wastegate on 35/3b twins

what size external wastegate are yall using on your 35/3b combos? what brand? etc I was looking at at TIAl 38mm but it said it was only rated to 900 degreees. Thoughts opions. What is a good cheap source. Thanks Travis

I own a Turbonetics Deltagate-MarkII (Racegate). Although I have never personally used it in a twin turbo diesel setup (long story... :{ ), I've worked on a few vehicles over the years that had 'em and have had very good luck with them. I've also worked on a few vehicles with HKS wastegates... they weren't too bad.



There are many folks running the 42mm TiAl with pretty good luck. The best wastegate is probably the Turbonetics NewGen... but they're insane money.

PM 'therabbittree'. If your looking for cheap, I think he can tell you what make/model car came with one from the factory that'll work & can be found in a junk yard.

That's right... Deo used an external wastegate off an Audi 5000 turbo (5-cylinder gasser engine) on his twin turbo setup... it's pretty big for an OEM wastegate.
