Lots of bluewater background here but not into it. My wife hates "speedboats". That said, for those who are into this type of personal watercraft, it's really tough to beat a Fountain boat. My idiot brother has one and loves it - uses it for FISHING. Very well built and you can drive a Fountain hull faster with less power than most all others. When's the last time you saw a 41 footer run at 85 with "only" twin 500s? As far as what would you do with it, I suppose you'd go for speedboat rides.

To each his own. Probably wouldn't work too well on the Columbia for salmon but in FLA it's probably a pretty nice ride to take over to the g-friends.

Who would want one? People who like pure POWER! Fountain holds tons of world records, they are way FAST. Although Fountains are screemers, they're not known for all out cabin luxury, but they do offer at least one model that is fast and very comfortable (the name escapes me).



That style boat is my dream boat, although it would more likely be a Sonic, their claim to fame is 6'+ headroom in boats over 30',in the cabin, which has everything..... A/C... heat... full galley, gereator, you name it, and available with upto triple engines with anything upto and including superchargers and 1,000 hp each. At a cost of $250,000 to in the millions I'll never see one in my driveway though.



I had a smaller version (22' 454 thru-hull exhaust) of this style boat but sold it last year, (the few months of use in MI didn't makes much sence) they are money pits for sure. The only trolling we would do on it didn't involve fish. LOL



Power, speed, the cool factor, and the chicks dig 'em!
