Ok guys, buy looking at the signature below can you tell me how much HP I have on 5X5. I dyno'd it at stock before making any mods (225hp) then after installing exhaust (245hp). Since then I have added the FASS and comp and am going to go dyno it in a week or two. Thought you might want to see if your on.

Next question: After I get the dyno done I am thinking new clutch (South Bend) which one would be best. After clutch I will be adding sticks but not sure which ones, I have been thinking F1 I would like to be around 450hp when done. So I was hoping you could help with recommendations for the clutch and injectors.

Thanks ;)

Note my stock clutch will slip if I lay into it on 5X3. How much HP is the stock clutch good for.

I would bet you will be around 320 HP. As for a clutch the SB Con OFE is an excellent clutch! If you want a little more holding power go for the FE, but it is a little grabbier. To get 450HP you should really upgrade your turbo..... If you would run some Mach 3 or 4's you should make it, but if ou go with a good turbo 500 is easy!

Looking at your sig, the Comp is the only fueling mod you have. If that is the case, then Doug is right. ~315-320hp.

If you are going to add injectors (anything other than RV's), go with the FE clutch.

go with a south bend dd

If you get a clutch and can afford it, get a DD Clutch. I was running a SBC FE, but it would begin to slip in 4th gear once I broke over 40psi of boost. I am currently running a SBC 3850DD 12CB and it is great.

Rivercat,

A typical setup that I use a lot is Mach 4's, Drag Comp, and a B-1 or B-1-2..... This setup yeilds around 500-525 RWHP.

not many b1s around these days rather use a htb2 either 62 or 64 what would match the full b1 ex4 closest with a little better spool and what is the effect of taking a 14 over the 12 they are offered with both. THANKS

also I belive the catcher to help with spool some if I could get bob to reflash for the comp so consider that too I also belive that even in the special version the catcher fuels out to 3400 would this eliminate the need for the "drag" comp?

rivercat,

You would need to go with something like a like a HTB2/64 with at least a 14 housing..... You would be better off with a 16 housing (I know, HTT says their 14 flows like a 16, but it just aint so). Have it wastegated to a max boost of 40-42 PSI and you should be right there. I like HTT turbos its just that they try and use extremely small exhaust housings to aid spoolup but this really hurts topend performance and creates excessive backpressure.

how much $

Am I right about the MAD ecm helping spool up in a bigger setup like this? or should I sell this thing to someone with smaller injectors (1. 5,1. 6).
