Yep, a new 2019 along with a special price adjustment from a local Denver dealership.

Now sing along with me (think Bon Jovi - You Give Love a Bad Name).

Shot through the wallet,
And you're to blame,
Dealer, you give Ram a bad name.

We were on vacation, and I spotted the new 2019 Ram, fresh off the truck, in the dealer's side lot. I don't think I need to comment about the "Denver Market Adjustment." Yes, you give Ram a bad name.

Ouch.

Well at least we know the new 2019 Ram 1500s are now at the dealerships. Inventory has been slow to arrive, and an article from Automotive News (April 30, 2018) gives us a glimpse as to why. Here are a few key excerpts from, "Rough Ramp-Up for Ram," by Automotive News, Larry Vellequette:

Quality and supply problems plaguing the redesigned Ram 1500 pickup's launch are not enough to make Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Sergio Marchionne spend the night on the factory floor, a la Tesla's Elon Musk.

He [Marchionne] said FCA's Sterling Heights Assembly plant, which began building the truck in mid-January, is "probably running today at 60 percent of cycle. That's not where we need to be. We allowed enough time in 2017 to get that installation up, but it's proven to be challenging."

Supplier and internal sources at the plant said late last week that the factory was building about 1,000 trucks per day toward a run rate of 1,400 per day. The plant is operating two 10-hour shifts per day, seven days a week, to get the production rate up to speed, the sources said.

FCA plans to run the plant every weekend and every holiday through Labor Day to get production of the new-generation Ram up to speed.

FCA dealers have begun receiving the 2019 pickups, but they have been limited to versions with the 5.7-liter V-8 engine.

As I stated in another post, when I purchased my new 1/2 ton 2 weeks ago, I shopped a 2019 Ram. It was many thousands of dollars more than a similarly equipped Ford. I love Ram, but not for that kind of coin. I realize that this is just because they are the new model, but if they really want sell trucks, they have to rein this in a little.

Spotted a 2019 in Westbrook Maine a week and a half ago. Didn’t check the window sticker as I did not wish to be swarmed by salesmen...
If I go down this week I’ll sneak over after they close and see if the ridiculous “Just Because” dealer markup is on it...

needless to say when I ordered my 18 Ram one of the local dealership said MSRP +2% (not), the other said enjoy the drive back from Idaho it cold this time of year (ordered in Feb). shop around is all I can say.

Saw yesterday a couple of times, a '19 1500 RAM TV spot. They kept saying "tomorrow", meaning today. Maybe today was the release date?
I'm sorry. I can't warm up to this nose. Looks too much like half the competition.

Dealer 30 miles from me has more than 20 on the lot all about 5000 below msrp and that's on the web site. If any one is interested I will send you the name of the dealer, didn't know if I could put it here or not.
