P.C. Question

New Year's eve is Wednesday, so there must be some good party's goin on. For all you drinkers be sure, and get yourself a good reliable designated driver, don't want to wake up dead Thursday morning. Couple of years ago coming home from a deer lease at about 2 o'clock in the morning state trooper stopped me 5 miles from home doing 62 mph in a 55 mph zone. He saw my cooler in the bed, and commented how much have you had to drink. I told him the cooler had bottled water, and diet coke in it, would you like one, replied no thanks, and told me to watch my speed, all this time, right in my face trying to see if could smell alcohol. Anyway Happy New Year, and all be safe. Oo.

I'm off on New Years Eve but will have maybe 2 beers at home. In all likelhood I'll be in bed before 2400, working 16 hours the next day  . Homeland Security is in full force this year. You would have to be either an idiot or a complete moron to drink and drive with the amount of cops that will be out on the holiday. Stay home and stay safe, hope everyone here enjoys the night ;) .

Not for sure, but they might get you for contributing to a minor if your of legal drinking age. Just not for sure. Assume the position!:--)

You can get in trouble for that if they can prove that you provided alcohol to the minors/underage drinkers. It's a potential PITA and I would stay away from it if I were you.

I'm going to work.

I was supposed to be off until Fri. but the schedule changed. That's OK, I've been off a long time.

I'll be relieving the watch at 2330, so when the moment comes I'll be filling in the first log book of next year :D

My cousin and I are leaving in the morning for Ohio to hang out with a buddy of mine. I'm gonna sit back and watch them get drunk and laugh. I don't drink. :p

this reminds me of a good joke I heard.

There is a local bar in town that the police decide to stake out late one night. As they sit across the street and watch, around 12:45am a man comes out of the bar looking real drunk. He stumbles across the parking lot, at one point falls over the hood of one of the cars. He gets into his car and lays down. The cops are real excited, were going to nail this guy. As time goes buy several other people walk out of the bar, but they look pretty sober so the cops just sit and wait for this one drunk they know is sitting in his car. By 2:00am the bar is closed and everybody has gone, Now the guy they are watching wakes up and starts his car. Not wanting somebody that drunk to even pull onto the public streets the officers rush over to this guys car to stop him from driving.

"Good morning officers, what can I do for you this lovely morning"? the guy replies.

"get out of the car sir, we need you to do a sobroraty test". The man passes with no problem! The officers say "how could you be so drunk only an hour ago and be so sober now" they ask him.

"No problem officer, tonight I was the designated drunk!" :)

Bought a couple of lobster tails for dinner at home. Will drink some beer and probably fall asleep by midnite. Get up and watch the polar bears jump into Lake Michigan 36 degree water and then on to New Years day party. Prefer to do my partying on the day of. Happy New Year to all members:D

In addition to the risks of driving on New Year's drinking or not, I understand there is a higher incidence of home robberies. Living in an area where robbing homes can get you a dose of lead poisoning, that's not a worry. I dunno, guess I will have a couple of Yuengling's, hit the sack about ten or eleven as usual. Maybe the wife will be frisky... ...
