Wow, that seems really light! My '98 2500 12 Valve Regular Cab, Long Box 4x4 weighs in at 6900 lbs with the tank at 3/8ths, Me (235 lbs) a cab high canopy and about 150 lbs of tools and miscellaneous stuff.

It sure is nice having an axle scale at work. Now, if I could find the time to take my boat down there to weigh it too... .....

Last time I was at the dump, and weighed my truck empty (nothing in the bed), it weighed 7,380 lb. That's with me in it, and about 9/10ths of a tank of fuel. I figure totally unloaded and with a tank of fuel the truck is about 7,150 lb. I agree with Scollins, your weight sounds light. Of course I'm not sure how accurate the landfill scale is though.

I weighed in the other day at a logging yard. Only half tank of fuel, myself and 4'11" fiancee. Truck boxes only with minimal amount of supplies for work, (48") underbody boxes. 9,200 pounds. When I left the yard, weight was 10,640 pounds, I was still about an inch from touching my factory overload springs.

The weights posted here have me concerned about the accuracy of Oregon DOT scales (here on most scales along the highway, even when closed you can weigh as there is a reader board a hundred or so feet ahead of a rig on the scales---just drive on and weigh)
Last week I went across with me (175#, wife 120#, two dogs at about 8# each. Its an '01 club cab LB. I have a self made rear bumper but it is not 25# heavier than stock and there is a cross bed enclosure in back with a 200# generator, a 14gal fuel tank with no more than 10gal gas in it and maybe 30#misc. there junk in it. Also maybe 25 to 30# in rear seat; maybe a total of 600# over bare truck and a half tank of diesel. The state scales showed 8550#???

My '01 3500QC 4x4 weighed in at 7,200 lbs.
This was at the CAT certified truckstop
scale this summer. Stock truck, 3/4 tank of
fuel. Me and the wife aboard (320lbs between
us). Stock as in bumpers, no headache rack
or other heavy stuff added. Stock wheels etc.
My window sticker shows the CGVW to be 20,000
with the 3. 54 gears, so I guess I can tow abt
13,000lb trailer (legally).

With a full tank and nobody in the truck, it weighed 8700 on a certified CAT scale. Add another 200 for me and I won't say what my fiance weighs, but it puts us over 9000.
