Carnage

It's not really bad but certainly is annoying. I have an older US Gear exhaust brake that cycles every time the key is turned. There is a defeat for it you can stomp the throttle on a cold engine or fumble around in an early morning or late night stooper for the switch. There is nothing better than turning the key to listen to the radio and ten seconds later THWAANNK-----THWAANNK... ... THWAANK-----THWAANK #@$%!

I'm looking in to a rewire of this device... .....

I had a straight pipe for about 8 months. It was cool, but now that I got the stock back on there, I really appreciate the quietness again.

I took the running boards off my truck to clear larger tires. :rolleyes: My dad put them on when he bought the truck new, and 4 years after I took them off, the rocker panels have rusted away. :{ It all started with the mud tires kicking up road rocks and pelting the rocker panels.

Believing that Banks was the premier opperator in the Diesel performance game. I like my exhaust system and EX/Brake, But the ottomind box was a HUGE mistake.

I think anything Bank$ makes is a HUGE mistake. You can do so much better with your dollars than bank$.

Same here. The brake REALLY doesn't work anyway.

Without a doubt, wheels, tires, and leveling kit. They made the truck look better, but hurt performance and mileage. A VERY expensive mistake. :{

Turbomaster wastegate controller. Could've gotten an adjustable boost elbow for a couple of bucks to do the same thing! Actually, it didn't even work that well. The spring loaded theory didn't let the wastegate open fully; 42lbs. of boost from the stock turbo was not what I had mind!

The worst bomb I made was the DT Track Bar. What a POS. The bar is not bad but the bracket they made for lifted trucks is TERRIBLE. Look under and turn the wheel and you will see a flex-o-rama! The owners is a jerk and does not know what a crush sleeve is... Ha. I would have rather gone with the thuren track bar.

AFE Stage I. The whistle drove me nuts and even w/TAG I it was intolerable. Quality product but too damn loud. Replaced it w/BHAF which is much quieter!

BD boost fooler on a 98. When installed it would prevent your ECM from seeing overboost, but it would also drop around . 4v from the signal so the ecm always thought you had less boost at low RPM's then you did, so it would not allow as much fuel. Texas Redneck Boost fooler fixed it right!

I'd say the electric fuel press and pyro i got for the 05. Worked for about two weeks then quit. Now, i'm going with mech. with an isolator and a different brand. The pyro just has an internal short but s/w don't want to do anything about it because I ordered the quick responce thermocouple??? how does that have anything to do with the guage shorting out??? Also their LED kits are a POS I've had to replace eight of them!! EIGHT!!! :( :{

Juice w/attitude. I bought it solely for the mileage increase that I never got.

Either that or mistakenly getting 16ply tires. I just assumed they would be 12ply but after they were on I saw the "load range H". Way too rough. Gonna make sure I get the 12ply variety next time... if these ever wear out.

My fast coolers lexan covers. Crappy. And yes i torqued them, but they still cracked and leaked. Even after replacing those POS with stock covers, i still had a small leak at a couple of the bolt heads because the threads on the bolts didnt seal. I fixed that by machining oring receiver grooves in the fast cooler to sandwich between the cooler and cover. Fastcooler could learn a few things from Maghytec IMHO.

My Worst bomb was the first one. Now it just costs more and more. With the new truck comes even more bombs. It never ends.

My worst bomb was the turbo saver timer. It works but after the install of my egt gauge i never use the timer . So it was more a waste of money. But the little kill switch i use all the time. HMM $250. 00 for a kill switch is a bit pricey i think.
