i bought some used michelins for my truck and need another set of rims. i heard that older ford rims will fit. does anyone know if this is true and what years of ford fit. my truck is a 93 4x4. thanks

There is a used and new rim/wheel dealership near by. I asked him and he didn't know. So I told him i wanted a set from a 94/96 model year Ram. If he can find any. The grey painted steel rim w/a beauty ring and bright and shiny hub cover. Will this fit or not? :( I'm also looking at obtaining a different set of rims but don't want to compromise my wonderfully handling ride and like zero front tire wear.

Anyone know what model year Fords to look for???? We talking 1980 and up (to say 92?)

The year Ford you want is up to 97 or 98, the last of the square turcks before the new Super Duty body style. If I'm not mistaken, Stomp has late 90s Ford aluminum wheels on his truck (just judging by his pix). The problem with later model Dodge wheels I believe is the back-spacing. The back-spacing is deeper, putting the wheel slightly further inboard. From the front or back, it makes your truck look like a fat chick in high heels (at least on a 4x4). If you did want to use the later Dodge rims, you will also need the shouldered lug nuts, they are what holds the center cap on.

will wheels off 80' s 3/4 and 1 ton fords work on my truck?

If your truck is a dually, maybe/maybe not. I'm not terribly familiar with them. If your truck is single wheel, yes they will fit.

i use to use wheels off of a 97 F-350 for our 93 W250. From what i know the wheels off of chevy's won't work because the axle is is too big on the dodges. If that tire/wheel dealership didn't know i wouldn't go to that place, When i went to Les Schwab to get my new tires and wheels they looked it up in there computer.

Yeah my rims are off a 97 ford 350. I had to get different lug nuts, but they seem to work fine. I cannot find a center cap to work with them though and I sure wasnt going to put the ford ones on. I plan on getting some new wheels some day, but I found that it doesnt increase you hp so it will have to wait untill I get done with the motor.

I was pretty sure they were. You could use the 4x4 front caps, and come up with a sticker or something to cover the ford on the rears maybe. Just a thought.
