At 80 mph, sustained for hours on end, in 90* heat, mine will hit 180*, no trailer of course.

3. 55 AND 285'S I run 80 mph for 30 minutes every morning and night. 2100 rpms by what I can tell, speedo is off, so its an estimate. GPS is packed in the boat for winter. I am concerned about the OE Mopar "lifetime" fluid in my NV5600, I think with 60K it might be time to change it.

I did notice a lower rpm at 80 when I went up to the 285 tires. MPG is to hard to figure with the comp box going from 1-5 all the time and this darn winter fuel.

With 4. 10's @ 80 I turn about 2750 RPM's and my milage sucks only about 12 empty 10 loaded. If I back off to around 65-70 then I get about 15 MPG empty, 10 loaded I would do a back flip if I ever saw 18 or 19 MPG out of this hog.

:eek: I was going to say the same exact thing. . I absolutely HATE:mad: my MPG's but GOD I love the POWER of knowing I can hook up to EVERYTHING and go anywhere i want:D

literaly moved a 70' mobile home 20 miles and laughed all the wayOo.

4. 10 but 285/70R19. 5 I'm a touch over 2200 at 80mph.

BTW, I have a spreadsheet that can calculate what RPM vs. Speed you will get by changing wheel/tire size, before and after listed on the same sheet.

It's free for the asking. It's an Excel spreadsheet so obviously you need Microsoft Excel. Email or PM me and I'll send it to you. You can see an older version of the spreadsheet with my truck pictures.

It's very accurate when you use the tire manufacture's "Revolutions Per Mile" which is part of the spec for any tire (at least it should be in the spec from the manufacturer and a few are included on the spreadsheet). It has a separate sheet for using just the tire size if you don't have the manufacture's RPM spec. , but it's not very accurate (but in the ball park).

It also will calculate your effective gear ratio when changing tire size, can compare two different rear end ratios, tires, etc. Also gives you speeds for your top 4 gears (all of them with an Auto). FYI.

Guys:

I don't do 80 often as fuel mileages really goes south over 65 mph. I get 15. 7 MPG running under 70 MPH.

At 80 MPH

RPMs= 2750

MPG=14

I'm not complaining though: With all the accessories and tool boxes my truck weighs 9,600 lbs running up and down the road.

At 80-MPH I'm running 52-MPH slower than I KNOW my truck will run and probably 60-MPH slower than absolute MAXMPH as it now sits. Install the BD-VIII's hook up the Nitros add a set of 19'5

Ummm??? :--) :D :D Who knows?;)
