$600 Fass vs. $370 Fass

I have a High Tech Killer B2 turbo with a 64mm Compressor wheel. 64mm worked out comes to 2. 51" (so I'm told) which is slightly bigger then the class I want to pull in this summer (2. 4).

Does anyone know where I can get a custom compressor housing with a 2. 4 compressor inlet, but that will clear my 64mm wheel? I will not downsize to a 62, so if this can't be done I will just have to live with it. :{

I called High Tech and while Paul seemed really willing to try and help, but when he asked his machinest he quoted me a outrageous price which Paul says meant he probably just didn't want to do it.

I called Industrial Injection..... but I was never able to speak to anyone..... seems like they like to put people on hold for long periods of time. Even when a voicemail is left with name & # phone calls are not returned. I *thought* I had heard they had good customer service. :rolleyes:

Can anyone recommend anywhere else to try? :confused:

Mark, I don't have an answer to your question, but I can confirm your conversion. A 64mm wheel is 2. 5197 inches, so basically 2. 52". To convert any metric wheel (in millimeters), just divide the measurement by 25. 4 and that will give you the inches conversion.

On the other hand, you might try calling Ken Diaz at Turbo Auto Diesel (original B-1s) and see if he could help you out.

Hey, aren't reducer rings popular for what you are wanting to do? That sounds easier that machining a new housing.

BTW, I don't know any of the rules for the street class, but a 62mm wheel is 2. 44". Would that still be legal to run even if you did want to do that? (I know you don't want to)

Thanks Hans. I added some info to your P-pump conversion statement over on our Mid-Tenn ;)

Sorry you were on hold. We have been busy lately but we do understand your concern. We would love to help you with your project. I think that a 62mm wheel will be about right for what you need. PM me and let me no what you think about us helping you. Thanks, Brady
