on 12v where is your idle set in park with no acc. on??? what hash mark?? I set mine at about 875 and locked the nut and it was fine. I ran the air yesterday and I had to nail the throttle and now it idling at @775 and drops down to 600 with ac on. I stalled twice and my brake pedal is very hard. I assume the nut lossened up but I cant see how:confused:

THANKS

in an auto you are to set the idle with it in drive and air on... hope your parking brake works or you have some help :D

750-800RPMS and you did set the idle using the low idle screw on the back of the pump, right?

Todd,

80 with the ac on and in drive takes it up to @1000 in park- seems kind of high- dont you agree?

yes I set it with the adjustment under the pump

I would do a search but it is down

Bud Fox,

Mine seems just like yours. I set it to just under 1000 to get the 750-800 with the AC on--seems high. Mine also ALWAYS slipsto around 750-800 in P after a long hard pull and then I have to turn it up again. Anyone have any ideas why? Can I replace the idle bolt/nutt if it is slipping? Thanks,

Dave

for what ever its worth my auto experience is this I have mine set at 600 under ac and drive load I hate the loud idle and its a very fine line there from a stall situation to a no troubles situation and I have mine set perfect for me now. It will stall when cold if you back off it quick but its easy to avoid that first thing every day . I also just depress the pedal a little for start up no problems and am very happy with this set up. I have to pull off the road alot for cell phone use and its not pleasant to hear a 1K rpm for no good reason in my case. Its a matter of preference and of course keeping the truck running and safe for you. hope this will help someone in some way best regards Patrick:)
