Just rear of the MAP sensor on the same level of the head. You can see it if you look real hard through all of the stuff in the way, but getting it out will be by feel only. Good luck.

LOL, sorry. The MAP sensor is just to the right and behind the fuel filter housing on your 99. Follow the oil dipstick down off the airhorn, you will see a cable going to a sensor on the head just behind the fuel filter and the cable will nearly touch the dipstick tube. Goint to the rear of the engine behind the fuel filter the MAP sensor is the first and the IAT is the next. Hope this helps.

lsmith, greatly helped. I took it out and cleaned it with lectramotive spray. It was only slightly dusty. I also ohmed it. Appears to be working however i do not know high and low limits. I had it as high as 14 and as low as 8 just by blowing on it. Should i do the MAP sensor too???? RRR

If you want to do the MAP sensor go for it, but you are going to need a special socket to get it out and put it back without risk of damaging it. You can get the socket at Napa or from Snap-On, or even from the dealer. I have never cleaned the MAP as I have never seen a reason to do so, my IAT was clean as could be so I believe the MAP to be also. In my experience the pressure transducers work just fine when dirty, and a resistive element like the IAT needs to be perfectly clean to work well.

There are some resistive values in the forums somewhere for the IAT at various temperatures. I have them on my laptop, shoot me an email if you can't find them and I will email it next time I boot it.
