Polka Nuts ??

Nailed!

As far as tools go, The popular ratchet wrenches tell the story. I bought a set of the "Gear wrench" made in Taiwan. The jaws are CRAP on those things. had them one week and traded them for the Made in USA Armstrong ratchet wrenches. Much better quality and jaw strength. After over two years of use, I have had no problems with the three sets of Armstrong wrenches. The Craftsman ratchet wrenches are made by Armstrong (also in USA), but the Blue Point (cheap line of Snap On) and KD tools versions are the Taiwan made "Gear Wrench". Armstrong is about twice as expensive, but quality is well over twice as good, therefore making them a wise investment.

I have seen plenty of "lifetime warranty" import tools, but they are not worth the inconvenience when a broken tool will not get the job done. I use my tools everyday and am proud to trust the quality of American made tools.

Buy MADE IN USA whenever possible.

Craftsman are junk now. I use my grandfathers tools from the 50's and 60's they still work. Their rachets are THE worst. I hate to say it.

And as for jeans, I like my Carhartt's. I have worn Levi's for 30 + years. When they moved their factories, they lost a customer.
Correct me if I am wrong but I believe Carhartt's are made in Mexico. Well, if so, at least it's in this hemisphere.

I stopped wearing Levis a number of years ago as their corporate morality differs from mine.

A far more important reason than where they are made.

Correction granted... ... ... I have Carharts on (which is all I own, thanks to Levis selling out) and they are MADE IN THE USA.

Yep, I have three sets of Carhart overalls-MEDE IN USA. Some of the Carhart clothes as well as some of the Wrangler clothes are made in other places, but at least both companies offer us a CHOICE. Buy the USA products!

My '95 D/C was made here!

I too buy American if I can find it. I gave up on Crapsman tools though.

I buy S-K now. They make really good tools, and most still say "Made in U. S. A. "
