Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) where is your #10 plate set????

I have dd2's a #10 and 3kgsk PDR hx35/14 and 4" exhaust



the truck seems to run very high egt when crusing on flat ground,no head wind, and less than 5 psi boost ~50 mph





the plate is almost all the way back and the afc is all the way fwd

smoke is ok but I like the power when the #10 was in the stock position and a little ahead but the egt's start to worry me



Harry@ Piers said not to exceed 1000egt while towing but what about just driving arround at the speed limit when the boost drops whats an acceptable max egt??

I'd put it in the middle, a #10 and DD2's is a good bit of fuel but if your not at 10 psi of boost and hard down on the throttle your not using the plate much if all, on towing just don't do extended runs over 12-1300, short blasts like racing even in the quarter are not an issue.

You might want to check your gov arm adjustment. Any time you move your plate around it effects the gov arm to ramp position. I have changed mine enought times to realize it does change the fueling rate. Thats why they have profiles. Also check your preboost adjustment on the rear of your afc. Too much preboost will effect your egt as well at low rpm. Hope this will help you. Good luck!

A #10 was the first mod I did after gauges and still had the stock clutch with about 115-120 miles on it. I had no problem with the clutch and the plate in the stock position but I did put my current clutch in about 10K miles later.



Just don't be stupid with the shifts ie, no power shifts.

Once you try it, I don't think you'll want to go back to stock. You'll most likely justify other mod's first.

Oh well that expression "you got pay if you want to play" comes to mind right about now.



If I get a 10 plate, is the governor lever supusto hit the bottom of the plate then ride up to the center? Or is it supusto have a straight shot to the center of the plate profile? Either way, I think my governor lever will need to be adjusted again:{

Before the plate, get the 3K governor springs then the plate. You will need the fueling for the #10.
