A sad, sad day... .

I got a new job! That new job came with a company vehicle. One nice thing, I get to use that company truck for personal stuff. The company truck is a Ford F-250, 4x4, 4 Door, Gas, Auto.

The down side: I bought my CTD to use for business. Now that I have a new job with a company truck that I can use I can't justify paying for my Dodge for "personal" use when I can use the Ford for free.

So my question is: What is the best way to sell a seven month old Dodge Cummins Turbo Diesel with 34k miles? What can I realistically get for it? Here is a little bit more about it:

The sticker on the truck was about $44k. It currently has about 34k miles on it. I got a fair amount of options on it:

-2006 Dodge Ram 2500

-Quad Cab

-SLT

-I think the color is called Mineral Mica Gray (I call it dark silver)

-Cummins Turbo Diesel

-4x4

-6 Speed

-Supplemental Side Air Bags

-Cruise control

-Sound and secure package

-Power adjustable pedals

-Protection group

-Trailer tow prep group

-Anti spin differential

-Front hood protection shield

-Rear sliding window

-Folding flat rear floor

-Auto dim rear view mirror

I've got about $44k in to the truck itself (not including financing, maintenance, insurance, etc). Here is how that breaks down.

-I paid about $39,000 for it (with tax)

-I added a truck cap and bed liner for about $2200

-I installed mud flaps and wheel well liners for about $200

-I had the X-Pel invisible paint protection treatment installed for about $900

-I bought winter wheels and snow tires for about $1200

-I have about $500 in to other misc items other items for the truck (floor mats, cell phone holder, pda holder, etc)

Any thoughts?

ive been thinking about selling mine lately too. im over the new truck thing and this payment is steep. ive been offered trade in value from dealers. i think you could get blue book or close selling it in the auto trader. i would pull what aftermarket goodies i can off and sell them seperate.

the big concern is what do you owe and are you willing to take a loss on it?

You could try right here.

https://www.turbodieselregister.com...te party. Word will travel fast, don't worry.

Unfortunately a new rig looses value quick. I would list on TDR and in the truck trader. Spring is just around the corner and the public should be in a buying mood, if fuel prices don't go sky high. Good luck.
