I know this is probably a tired question by now, but here goes anyway:

What would be the general plan for BOMBing a 160hp CTD? I will have a boost gauge and EGT gauge in place before I start. This engine will be backed up by an NV4500 (I KNOW 160hp is the rating for a '95 auto. engine). My goal is around 300hp / 750 ft. lb. I don't expect to do any heavy hauling, my application will more resemble drag racing and showing off on the street.

In addition to general advise, I also want to know whether it makes sense try and find a 215hp pump (or even a 175/180 hp pump) or whether it is more economically feasible to put delivery valves in my 160hp pump.

Thanks

Slide your plate and AFC housing full forward to start. If you want more then get 370 injectors and a 16cm exhaust housing. This should be at your clutch limit. That should put you there for under $500.

Thanks, Todd G

I'll probably start with an aftermarket clutch. The engine and trans came from a junk yard (that's why the mis-match) and the clutch that came with the bellhousing is shot. This is all going into a 1981 crew-cab.

I see by your sig that you run a 14cm housing but you recommend a 16?
