For sometime I have been wanting to install a separate fuel filter for my 96 Ram 3500 5. 9. After receiving several suggestions from a previous forum question, I purchased a Raycor Model 645 filter/water separator and water detection kit. It measures about 4" wide, 7" high and sticks out @5"
Originally, I was just going to tie into the fuel line before the OEM filter and use them both. However, since I have the water detection kit, I'm thinking it might be better to just get rid of the whole OEM filter. Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated. Also, I'm open as to locations to install this new filter. I'm looking forward to being able to access and change this one a whole lot easier than the old one.
