i just got my egt and trans temp in with triple pillar (boost is on back order). i have the autometer ultra-lites #4344. " 2" electric guage includes probe, and installation kit". where's the probe? i have the shrink wrap. am i missing something?:(

Most Autometer gauges dont include the probe. You have to order it seperatley and choose "Street" or "Competition" series. Maybe thats why its not in the package??. But you said it says "Includes probe"????

a probe should be included. i have everything but the probe and the wires/nut it's attached to. i guess i have to call autometer, but i may get screwed from having opened up the packaging:mad: anyone else had this problem?

I would conatct who you bought the gauges from, let THEM call Autometer, they will be able to get another one i am sure since they are a dealer. I would also call the place you got them and make sure its not sitting there on a shelf. Maybe they took it out to show someone and forgot to put it back? Try everything you can before you have to pay for it.

EMD, alright, i'll call them. i ordered from DIS and everything seemed fine. was anyone's probe on the outside of the box covered by the white cover? inside the plastic-type wrapping it wasn't there.

DIS

alright, i'm happy to say that a new (well, one in the first place) thermocoupler is on it's way. Randy and a couple other folks went out of their way at DIS and called autometer. i'm pleased with their service! so now it's just another wait. i guess i'll start installing what i have.

and the saga continues

well, i have to send the kit back to DIS and they will somehow get credited to autometer. "since the thermocoupler is like $100, we need you to send it back". first of all the probe isn't that much as i've paid $116 for the pyrometer. to which i do understand that i could have broken the "original" one; they still messed up. now that the packaging is off, i can see a fight coming up ahead from autometer. the pyro kit is going back i hate to say. dis is helping so i'm pleased with that.
