My 2001.5 Cummins automatic 4x4 apparently has a Dana 60 axle, but the equipment list that came with it shows a Dana 70. The cover has 10 bolts. The cover has 606267-2 stamped on it. I've
tried a couple of sites that have those types of numbers for Dana 60's, but the highest in the 6062 series is 606265....mine is 606267. I need to order a pinion seal, but want to be sure to get the correct one.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Looks like the guy at the parts store, where I bought the gasket, was wrong. His book showed it as a Dana 60, but the gaskets are identical, so I'm assuming it's the 70, like the specs sheet shows.

If you mean the rear axle, it is a D70. The local auto parts stores can sometimes get confused with a gasser 2500.

Your front axle is a 60, the rear would be a 70.

Unless you're wanting to pick it up local, I like dealing with Randy's Ring and Pinion. They'll know exactly what you have.

Thanks, Guys....I told the auto parts guy it was a diesel. He's usually pretty sharp. definitely goofed this one, however...LOL. I ordered the yoke kit from Quad 4x4, so just need to get it here, and getter done.
