What are they worth? 20-25' GN flatbeds

exhaust brake/trailer brakes

OK, with the 9. 5' S&S on-board and the trailer loaded with quads, I need a little more help than the extra leafs are providing. Are Firestone airbags the way to go, or is there a better option? Keep in mind, I have @ 4. 5" of lift on the truck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, including where to get the best deal. :D

I used to run Firestone bags with my 4. 5" kit. I ahve removed the lift, but the bags remain. Never had a problem with them. I made a custom bracket to work with the lift.

I ran the Air Lifts, but I must have gotten a bad set. First one went at 5,000 miles second one only 2,000 later. Firestones have almost 50k on them.

Henry, I've been running the same set of Air Lifts for about 60,000 miles on two trucks without a problem. They say to keep at least 5 lbs of air in the bags at all times so they don't tare at full axle flex. I have a very simple set up with seperate air lines to each bag. That way there is less to go wrong. A small compressor with the same 7 pin plug as your trailer to it is all I use to inflate. I bought them from Summit Racing on sale for about 200 clams if I remember right. You may end up making your own brackets for your lift. I put 1" spacers under my lower bracket to get things more in line with what Air Lift recomends because I have a 2" lift. Hope this helps.

I've got the firestone airbags with onboard compressor. Have had them trouble free for about 40k miles. They're fantastic. Got them from Les Schwabs.

Firestone is what I've used, 300k + on my old truck and over 111k on my 03. Never had a bit of trouble with either of them.

I have Air Lift but I think I would go with Firestone next time, I like the design or the air bag better. -- Buy the way if you are as cheap as I am go to a wrecking yard and get a compressor from a cadilac, it's cheap and has a built in air dump valve. They are perfect for air suspension.

Hey Thanks! I appreciate all the input. Firestone Ride-Rite it is. Summit Racing seemed to be the best price I could find. I should start getting frequent flyer miles there soon! Thanks again everyone.
