Have read the very good information about the exhaust brakes.
Here is what I have :
2001 , 4X4, L.B. Q.C. 47RE transmission (stock). Engine upgraded with just the Banks Power Pac Kit.
In reading all the posts, I am getting very confused about which one is "The best", with least amount of problems.
I looked at Banks' unit, as they seem to have a very large opening through port.
Called the tech guy at Banks, and he told me it can be incorporated along with the Power Pac unit. He also told me all the good things about it, that were better than the others. I guess if I called "The others", they would tell me good things about theirs too !
Do "The others" have at least a 4" through port opening ?
So, Would a Banks Brake, along with the controller, be "As good as any, and better than most" ?
I do like the idea, that "If" you do have a problem, you can call them for technical / troubleshooting advice.
Isn't there a saying "Cummins makes the grade"? It's coming down the other side that bothers me !
Comments & suggestions are very much appreciated.
Respectfully,
Peter
