Who's injector burns all the fuel a common rail can deliver and does so with the best pattern? I think I have fuel programming and air covered -- it's all a question of what injector delivers smoothly w/o overfueling and still delivers the max usable at the 'wall' of common rail capacity.

I'm not convinced a "stage 3" is preferrable to a "stage 2". If the "stage 2" has the ability to deliver all the fuel the rail can deliver then the "stage 3" is just causing unnecesary smoke imo.

Thoughts? Experiences?

I'm not running a programmer. I like my DDP injectors. Here's the dyno sheet on my stock 06' with the modified injectors only. Also, my truck idles smoother. Mileage went up about . 5mpg.

Bob Wagner and several others. I have had excellant service from Bob. The price is up there, but the quality is the best. On a common rail, he has the best. The reason why i picked Don, is because he tests his products much more than others before it is released.

I just had a set of stage 2 DDP injectors installed in my SO 03. It idles very nice and they don't smoke with the box off even if I romp on it with 0 boost. Common thinking is that much more than 90hp out of a set of injectors on a CR truck is all that you can do without having to go to a modified CP3. Don M's Flux 2 injectors(100hp) need a modified CP3 pump in order to feed them. My stage 2 DDP's did not require a modified pump. Not starting a war just regurgitating manufacturers information that they will post on their sites. :)

Reb -- are those Don M's DynoMites/DDP? What injector is in your '03? Single charger dyno run I was at 470hp/1100tq; haven't dynoed with the twins or with the FASS yet.

Don M is not dynomite. Don is in Garland TX and dynomite is in Washinton. Don is more of excentric and everything has to be perfect. Dynomite will sell you what youy want and Don will sell you what you need. I amagine that you will gain or lose 10 HP with the twins when you dyno. Real power is made with a big single, lol. Too much work trying to push 1200 cfm through a 350 cfm turbo.

Can you please re explain what I will sell. Have you ever tested our injectors on a flow tester? Have you ever owned a set of our injectors?

Thanks

I have Dynomite Diesel 90hp E/H in my '04 SO. I gained about 45hp & 230lbs of tq. After the injector install. I had to turn my TST down to get it. But I'm still out of fuel. I'm also stacked w/ TST/EZ. Did 520hp/1142tq on a single HTB2 62/12. Smoke is next to nothing with their injectors. Temps really didn't do anything. And I've noticed a huge improvement in mpg. When the twins and cp3 get here I'll have the fuel to take advantage of the whole 90hp the injectors offer (and what the TST does as well) Plus, Dynomite Diesel has some of the best customer service I've ever experienced out the places I've talked to, or used, regarding diesel performance.

I agree, Don M injectors all the way. I'm planning on getting mine real soon.

I just got my Don M FLUX stage 2's in about a month ago.

Posted about too.

Made 604hp with the only 4 fuel adders - TST/EZ/FLUX/CP3

not tooooo shabby... MPG is 19 mpg like it has been since new...

As for Ross from Dynomite, ... you have several inj for common rail and you will custome build inj for your customers, what they want is what they kit. Don sells a kit that he's has tried a million times then sells just that. No gripe intendeed. If I'm wrong then explain how. As for Mak with the twins, you are trying to shove 1200 cfm through a 400 cfm turbo. Do the math MAK, it takes too much work to make power. If you wanty twins to make power then the small turbo must be Very large and then it won't run until 90 MPH and if a set of twins run good then they are too small.

Would you rather pay someone to build what HE wants, or exactly what YOU need? I can't speak for anyones injectors other than Dynomite Diesels', therefore I can't comment on others. I don't know them personally, but they have bent over backwords building me custom injectors, providing quality parts, and advice. They have even called me checking up on the progress of my projects. I've actually bought four sets of injectors, turbos, programmers, injection pump mods, etc. from them, and they keep me coming back with their great customer service. I have reccommended others to them as well, and they were all very satisfied. If anyone says that Dynomite will sell you something just to make a sale, that's false information. If you're not happy with the product you recieve, they will replace it or make it right one way or another. I'm not trying to bash anyone, though I don't want anyone to get false impressions of Dynomite Diesel when they have been overly helpful with not only my personal vehicles, but also my friends as well. .

Tomey,

Been reading up on your setup. Very interesting. I have the 150 FASS but sounds like I'll need to tweek it for the higher psi. Only flows 15 now; 12 when warm. WOT doesn't drop it; at all. Any directions on how to adjust the spring for higher psi?

Now... to find a Stage2 CP3.

And rail cap.

plus my injectors.

Game on.

As for turbos and cfm... . the perpetual dilemma. Anyone have a nice big variable vane turbo I can have? :-laf High end or quick spool... for big HP it's high end big single turbo. But sucks for quick spool and daily driving. One of the reasons I thinks its stupid sled pulling rules puts twins into super street and singles into street. A lot of the time the singles make more power for crying out loud! To make decent power with twins you have to build to crazy levels and then it's really not drivable on the street. So. . it isn't a "street" class at all.

My opinion? Twins and the setup I'll be running once I add more fuel... the extra work compressing the air for the small cfm = HEAT. Water injection is my friend.
