Two questions:

1: Which ISSPRO Gauges. Mechanical Series or the EV2? What are some pros & cons of each. I know the mechanical series has the "ballast" sender or whatever it is, but are generally a bit cheaper, but the EV2's have LED lighting. I kinda prefer the mechanical gauges, but is there any advantage to the electric ones?

2: Genos or Vulcan Diesel Performance. I can get the packages from these two places. Vulcan is the cheaper, but Im not exactly 100% sure that Vulcan is the better place.

1. Vulcan ISSPRO EV Mechanical package. Approx 320 bucks. Includesboost, pyro, and fuel pressure full pillar, boost bolt, fuel pressure access fittings, and entire install kit.

2. Vulcan EV2 ISSPRO Electronic package. Approx 460 bucks. Includes boost, pyro, and fuel pressure full pillar, boost bolt, fuel pressure access fittings, and entire install kit.

3. Genos (not a kit)ISSPRO EV mechanical pyro, boost & fuel pressure gauges, boost bolt full pillar(half off with purchase of gauges) comes to 386 including shipping.

4. Genos (not a kit)ISSPRO EV2 pyro, boost & fuel pressure gauges, boost bolt full pillar(half off with purchase of gauges) comes to approx 460 including shipping.

Comments... Ideas?? I plan on ordering these within the next couple of days.

Thanks

I have Isspro gauges. EGT and boost are mechanical and have never given me an ounce of trouble. Quick and easy to install. I wish there was a mechanical trans temp option. Had to find a place to mount the box and every now and then a wire works loose. I did find that the bulb in the EGT gauge would change the readings when it was on. (none LED), so I disconnected it and drive by the boost gauge at night.

Unlike others, I have a strong dislike for Isspro mech EGT gauges. Never had one last for a year. Autometer gauges have served me well.

I've had 2 Isspro transmission temp gauges,,,1'st one was the older style which lasted a year,,,then they replaced it with the newer style with the control box,,,it was dead on arrival,,,never will i buy Isspro anything. .

I have ISSPRO R3607TR and R3607VWR EGT pre and post turbo gauges, and a R5623R boost gauges. I have Autometer AM-2640Z trans temp and a AM-2636 rear diff temp and Westach WM-FPKT-30 electric fuel pressure and the only gauge that I have had problems is the Westach. But I think that was do to installation error. Every time I turn the headlights on the pressure on the gauge increases by 6 psi. I got all the gauges except the rear diff at GENOS. The rear diff gauge I ordered through extremediesel.com Hope this helps.

I just installed all isspro ev2. I took out my autometer mech ones. Had problems w them. I love the new EV2s look nice and a easy to install. so far so good

I have two ISSPRO pyros and a boost gauge. They are mechanicl and have worked perfectly for over 10 years and 200k miles. I see no reason for electrical gauges in these applications. The color coded pyros are the best.

I have an EV series transmission temp gauge but I had to disconnect a bulb to tone the brightness down. NO WAY I want anything that bright above the dash.

For sure buy the TC with the modular connector so you don't have to bolt and tape the connections.

if you are looking for a good set of gauges that have been damn good gauges try glow shift gauges they sell the whole kit and all you just pick out your gauges they have one that has boost EGT and Fuel press all in one gauge i would check them out pretty nice gauges for sure!

I have ISSPRO boost, trans temp and rail pressure, used to have pyro but I am now using the Edge for that. The rail is electrical the others are mech. 120,000 miles, three years no prob. BTW I bought mine from Diesel Manor.
