I just joined TDR It is a wealth of information. I have a 2002 QC SB 6sp that I just installed Edge juice / attitude and the Vulcan hose and pump relocate kit. The Vulcan kit is great and is sized for flow. I did this thinking that the third lift pump and the new to me vp44 would last a while. In less than 100mi the fuel psi was at 3psi. So you guessed it, I now get to shop for a lift pump. The Air Dog or Fass seem to be the most reliable and have filters for fine Filtering and air removel in fuel. Is the filters nessary because the pumps are sucking way more fuel than the vp 44 needs ? or to protect a $1300. oo to $2800. 00 vp44 we Dodge owners need to spend half that much to keep the vp44 happy. I'm a maintance mrg for a dairy processing plant. I buy and replace pumps all the time. Is not a pump a pump? You size the impeller and the motor and speed ,make sure you have the net postive suction for the desired head or gpm. The vp44 needs less than 10 psi for starting and 10 psi with engine running. What is the max flow gph with stock truck ? Thanks for any help. Truck has 64000mi 3ea lift pumps 1ea vp44
