It' not so much as to which brand to use, but rather when you use them.
I know this will not sit well with some, BUT as long as the filters meet or exceed the manufacturers ratings, any brand filter will work just fine.
Filters for one reason or the other, have become personal for many. They think if they spend more money they will get a better filter, or their truck will last longer. The only thing you will get is less change back when you pay for them. The most important thing to remember is that you should replace the filters often, as described in the owners manual. The truth is, when DC contracts out for their filters, they go with the lowest bid from a group of filter makers that conform to a specific list of conditions, the same conditions other filter makers most follow to meet or exceed the manufacturers rating. Filters are heavily marketed by the manufacturers, all in an effort to make you think they will do the job better then the next filter. Or as in most recent accounts, to link you to a specific team (Nascar. NHRA, etc) so you feel part of a team or supporting them. Truth is you are only being duped into spending more money for something then you really have to. If thats OK by you, then so be it, but don't think your getting a better product because you spent more, you just bought into the marketing/advertising hype.
