Which Oil Recommended?

I have an 05 dodge and I was just trying to get an idea of whats a good oil to use out there and what everyone else out there seems to be happy with. THANKS

I use Delo 400 (non synthetic) because I like to color of the bottle and I can get it at Costco for a good price. I figure my reason is as good as any other's I've seen here.

A friend recomended the Rotella T and we get it at Sams Club. Got the 4/2/1 package from Genos, so 2 cases of oil and good till 30000 miles. Thanks

I need to do first oil change and bought a case 0f delo then went to cummins for filters and they highly recomended the valvoline. From reading here I think Cummins and Dodge use the Valvoline. I am surprised it is not on the poll list. Also from searching here I concluded the delo was most prefered by members. I think Im researching too much. I dont know what to vote for. HELP IM SO CONFUSED!

I just started running Amsoil... . and so far, I love it. Maybe, I'm just partial to it, or maybe I'm a fool who fell for the name and the hype? Seriously, I have used Amsoil for years in my snowmobiles, motorcycles and cars, so it was a natural transistion for my diesel too.

What difference?

I have read in the TDR mag about a new Mobile 1 Truck / Suv synthetic oil.

I have been using Mobile Delvac 1 full synthetic in my VW TDI for years and was planning to use it in my '04 CTD beginning at 20k miles.

I see no reason not to trust the Mobile Delvac 1 in my CTD. The oil gets stressed much more in the TDI. So what's the improvement in the Mobil 1 Truck oil over Delvac 1?
