Jardine 4" Exhaust or JRE 4"? Turbo Back... ... .

Performance (if any), Sound, Installation? I see JRE is $70 MORE  , are they $70 Better?

I have the Jannetty kit, i love it, beautiful fit and it sounds GREAT. There website has Wav files you can download and here it. Personally, i think its worth the Extra money

Pro's & Cons

Cons : :(

1. You have to pay Ct tax at JRE's.

2. It's $70 more expensive to boot.

Pros : :)

1. You'll help out Ted. His property taxes are doubling because of the Waterbury Tax bailout.

2. Youll be buying a CT product.

3. If you ever have a problem with it, you can head over to JRE and he'll take care of it.

I'm looking at getting a JRE 4" system as well and My only issue is do I ask Ted to staight pipe it or keep the muffler? :D I'm waiting for you EMD to find out how it sounds!;)

I AM TRYING!!! I cant find anyone with 4" exhaust pipe to take my muffler out! I have tried everyone locally. Hopefully this week for sure ill get it out and let you know the results. The suspense is killing me!

JRE, without a doubt or hesitation:D

Ted is great to deal with, and has a great exhaust system to boot. Mine has a mellow yet, deep throaty sound to it and lower cab noise.

Even at an extra $70, it's well worth it.

JRE

EMDDiesel - If you go to Ted's, he has a real neat store to wander around in while your exhaust is being installed. I'll just bet you can find at least 5 or 6 other items you have to have!!!

Just trying to help:D :D :D On the serious side (I think) they do a great installation job. You'll be happy with the decision.

Denny:) :) :)

Jardine

I installed the Jardine in 2hrs. This time included removing the old with a sawzall. I just met Jerry in Portland today. He is very friendly. This system has no drone. It is a nice deep tone. Also I noticed my interior was a lot quieter. Check www.wwcd2.com for his special this month. The SS tip is awesome, a little spendy but I doubt it would ever need replacing.

I have the Jardine and have never been sorry. Jerry and his customer service were great! Mounted the system with no welding, all hangers fit perfectly!

I met Ted Jannetty at BD Dyno Days last April, he really impressed me, coming all the way form CT. to BD for the festivities. Talked with him quite a while, He is definately a quality person.

I don't think you could go wrong with either system!

IMO the only thing you need to decide is how loud of exhaust you'd like. The JRE is a little throatier than the Jardine. Although the Jardine is still louder and nicer sounding than stock, the JRE is a bit louder and a little deeper tone. From what I've read both are about the same skill level installation.

The Jardine supposedly has a better flowing muffler, but both are 100 times better than stock so the difference would be immeasureable, IMO.

Emddiesel,

Try going to a big truck parts house, they'll have all the parts you need. Chances are they'll probably have a piece of scrap 4" that they'll give you, then you will just have to buy clamps. I put straight 5" exhaust on my truck for $125. I was able to use all existing hangers with only a few modifications. I'm not sure what these 4" exhaust kits go for but I bet its about $300 more expensive than if you were to get the parts and do it yourself.

Easy choice!!!!

JRE... ...

Simply the BEST!!!!

If it came in SS turbo to tail... . Muffler and all... that would be the ONLY way to improve the product!!!!

(Also Most likely Double the price).

I have seen Jerry at a couple of shows now and have heard several of his systems, most recently DAWG-1's and must say that I was impressed. It didn't have the drone that other manufactures have. Although I have only heard a few JRE systems, I like Jerry's.

I'm sure that you would like either as they will perform nearly the same, I don't like the drone.

Darren,

Without a doubt get a JRE exhaust. Go to Teds shop and have him install it. Done deal. This is from experience. Jardine does not like guys from Connecticut. They'll collect all the scrap pieces and mis-bent pipes, box em up and ship them to you. :D No joke.

Both Me & Larry Quinn (previous page) got screwed by Jardine. Nothing came close to fitting correctly. We drove to Teds ( with 1/3 of an exhaust system) and had the JRE exhaust put on, and sent the Jardine pipes back..... It cost me 1/2 a days pay.

Why 2 guys from Connecticut only had problems with Jardine's 4"system, I dunno.

Thanks everyone... ... I think it'll be the JRE system. I have one scheduled to be installed and wanted to make sure it was the right choice.

Bill, thanks the experience you had alone makes me go with the JRE.

Thanks again

Yes the muffler between the two systems is the "noticable" difference. In order of Loudest to queitest Diesel Dynamics, JRE, Jardine... based on what I have heard. I am happy with my JRE 4" exhaust and Ted is a stand up vendor, will answer any and all questions even after you pay the bill, meaning he still treats you the same if you already bought the product.

You lucky you live close to him, I'm stuck out here in the middle of the US with noone closeby of that caliber. Kinda sucks.
