which year service manuals

Well, i just recieved my service manuals. BUT, even though I have a 2001, I recieved the 2000 manuals. My truck doesn't have the disk brakes and stuff, so will the 2000 manuals work? are the electrical schematics accuarate?

Ok, I answered my own question. A call to DC cust service actually answered a question!!!! Early 2001 rams (drum rear brake early) use 2000 manuals. Also, the 2001 manuals are complete... . no more supplements. If you order from Tech Authority, call them. Thier web site is not up to date with all of the manuals.

Funny, they must be producing different versions of these manuals or are trying to move old 2000 manuals. I too have the rear drum brakes. My manual(2 volume set) is for 2001 and covers rear drum & rear disc brakes. Prior to this manual, DC was selling a 2000 manual($90) with a 2001 suppliment ($10). When I ordered my current ones, DC operator that took my oder said the 2001 manuals were now printed and I would get those instead of the 2000 with the suppliment. This was quite a while ago, so I'm surprised you were sold a 2000 manual. For your truck though, this shouldn't really matter. Just for the record, the stock number on the spine of my manuals are: 81-370-1008 & 81-370-1009 respectively.

Thanks for the feedback. I was curious, could someone look in the 2001 manual, under the power distribution center section, and see if they have a fuse for the "starter circuit" The power dist diagram does not match mine. It Should be on the right back of fuses, 3rd one down.
