Americana,
this is a one man job.
The total process is 1 hour or less. (shlubs included

) Part of the time is warming up the truck and noting where the needles are positioned on each gage when warm( they need to be off the stops ). The longest process is removing the oem overlay and preparing the surfaced( triming excess adhesive w/ razor blade to insure a smooth surface) the needles come off very easy with the supplied tool. All this is is done with the inst cluster on the work bench (easy to remove)
The HVAC and headlight overlays take 5 minutes to R&R
A unanticipated bonus was noticed by yours truly... My 315's made my speedo off by 5 mph at 70. To compensate, i installed the needle at 5 mph. ( you must note where your rpms are at 70 before starting this to establish a baseline. ) my speedo now reads 69 mph at a calculated 70

it is slightly off at 35 mph but i have never gotten a ticket at 35 only at 80
The good news is that the needles can be removed and installed several times to make adjustments as necessary (the fewer the better so be gentle)
The only minor inconveniences is that you have to restart the truck every 15 minutes or so to keep the truck warm. When you do this with the inst cluster removed it throws the check engine light. but it goes away after the typical number of starts/ key on's
NIGHT VIEWING
Just went out to the truck to view at night. The results are neat.
The white is gone and the blue is sharp and blends perfectly w/ my Dipricol whites(Blue at night). Another plus is that the turnsignal arrows are blue (Same as night or day)
I will report after driving at night on the visibility of gages etc...
All in all a easy job Just take your time. The results are worth it
Best regards
DD
