Simon, Lake Chelan? Probably hot. Sounds like one of your injectors is leaking and fuel pooled on top of the piston while parked. Could have been a piece of crud holding it open that finally passed though. Sometimes a fuel additive with lubrication will clear it up. If it continues pull the injectors and have them tested. Valley Tractor in E. Wenatchee used to do mine for $6 each.
OR your turbo oil seals are leaking. Check the tube going to the intercooler and see if it's oily. You can replace the seals easily yourself if that's the case.
