Would this make a good set of twins??

Same gear hunting problem. Just put in a ATS converter which helps this problem spontaniously. She shifts fine under heavier acceleration... but would really appreciate light throttle driveability

I too have the same gear hunting problem - 1-2-1 or 2-3-2 under light throttle. I changed the 1-2 shift spring, and the 2-3 shift spring several times with different combo's of spring weights to no avail. I think it must be a function of the interface between the computer and the hydraulics of the transmission. Dave told me that he was working on a new VB set up that would allow slightly higher line pressures then the standard 150psi that he installs, and that maybe that would help. I haven't heard back on his progress.

I too would appreciate more light throttle driveability.

You know how I fixed mine?

I just shift it manually in town.

With boxes and downloaders and injectors and a modified pump, everything the Throttle Position sensor tells the transmission is BS anyway. I don't see how you cn really get the transdiealed in correctly for the amount of power you ar making, escpecially with adjustable boxes. At WOT, making everything she can, it shifts beautifully. I accept that trade off for shifting manually intown. no biggie, I used to have a 6 speed . . . . .

Ok I finally called dave he is going to build me a new VB and ship it out thursday, DAVE IS REALLY A GREAT GUY THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE POSTED TO MAKE BUY A GEOREND transmission. I WLL POST WITH THE RESULTS.

I have a DTT in mine.....

No problems running modules by themselves.....

running a Bullydog on as little as performance (but especially Crazy Larry) makes the transmission hiccup. Its like it wants to go to the next gear but stays in in 2nd. Only happens under light throttle in traffic..... its just an instant and fixes itself immediately... . but annoying.

running a Smarty on my truck, it was horrible. 2 3 2 3 or something like that... . it was BAD. sometimes it would get so confused it wouldn't go into a gear! Pulled the Smarty, no problems. (i had other Smarty issues too)

Edge Juice or TST or the MP8... . transmission shifts fine with just modules but messes up with programmers... i'm assuming this is because of the programmer jacking with sensors.

Myself, like Diesel Nut, was shifting manually in town running Crazy Larry... but that became too much fun... punch it and it would spin in 1st and then spin 'em again in 2nd and then hit D and floor it again and break them loose again... . that was too much fun plus my passengers didn't like the rollercoaster ride... .

Looking back now i wish i would have bought a 6 speed, bought a dual disk, and been done with it. Full billet trannies are too much $$$$

Goerend Brothers transmission right here. Several thousand miles on it with 0 problems. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat! They will always have my support!

fixed my eratic shifts

OK I Installed my VB that Dave sent me, the problem is fixed Oo. but now I cant get the reverse lights to come on in R. They will come on between P and R, I have tried to adjust the linkage but no luck. Anybody know how to fix this problem?

I'm not sure how to adjust your linkage, but I wanted to comment on my transmission.

I only have about 400 miles on it since Dave built my transmission and I have no problems with mine at all. When I took my transmission over to their shop Dave had given me a ride in an 05 that he was working on and he had told me about the problems it was having wanting to stack shifts under light throttle.

Well he must of found what was up with it because mine works great.

Thanks guys for all you replys,

Snoxracer

I'm getting a new VB from Dave - hopefully tomorrow - that'll work better with Smarty. I was getting 1-2-1-2 shifts before with Smarty, perfect shifts before hand. Hoping FedEx or the big brown truck show up on Saturdays.
