"We've come to get some shrubery for the King"
Theyre great, but I like the stooges too. My dad saw them live!!
I thought Peter Sellers was excellent too.
Best scene was when his little ninja friend was sawing the floor out from under him.

How does it, um how does it work?
I know not my leige.
Consult the book of armorments.
Armorments chapter 2 verses 9 to 21.
And saint Atletia raised the hand gernade up on high saying oh lord bless this thyne hand gernade but with it thou may blow thyne enimies to tiny bits in thy mercy and the lord did grin. and the people did feast upon lambs and sloths and carp and anchovies and orangutans and breakfast cerals and fruit bats and live. .
And the lord spake saying first thou shalt take out the holy pin. Then shall will count to three, no more no less. Three shall be the number thou shall count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shall thou not count, no their not count two excepting that thou them proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number 3, being the third number being reached, them lubbouth thou holy hand gernade of Anticoch towards thy foe. Who not being within thy sight shall snubbeth.
Amen

The Holy Hand Gernade of Anticoch from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Yes, "Airplane" was a classic!
Can't forget the Mel Brooks movies (remember the "bean scene" in "Blazing Saddles"?). I liked "High Anxiety" the most, with its spoofs of Alfred Hitchcock movies.
Others I liked were "Tommy Boy", "So I Married an Axe Murderer", "A Fish Called Wanda", and the early 60's classic, "It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World". Oh, I forgot "This is Spinal Tap" and those "Police Squad" movies with Leslie Nielsen.
There's something about those English accents on the Monty Python movies that just sends me over the edge. I used to love to watch the Benny Hill Show, too.

I loved John Candy, too.

I also like:

Its a Mad,Mad,Mad,Mad World
Cold Turkey
Airplane
Blazing Saddles

I have never really watch Monty Python. A guy at work said 'History of the World' part 1 & 2 are GREAT.

Good Comedy movies are few & far between. Similar to Horror movies. #ad

In "The Gods Must Be Crazy", I liked the scene where he picked up the school teacher, and he had to stop on a hill to open a gate. The Landrover had no brakes and it began to roll backwards down the hill and then up the opposite side. The teacher panicked, and he said, "Don't worry, miss Tompkins! It'll come back!"
Or how about when he used the winch to get the Landrover out of the river, and then forgot about it. It ended up hanging from a tree.

Andy,

What are those strange poping & clicking noises we hear when the camera is on the bushman. #ad

In part II the guy is being chased by an Ostridge thru tall grass. He's on his hands and knees and comes face to face with a Cheeta. I died laughing at that one. #ad

How about when the poacher has a gun on the bushman. He doesn't understand what it is, and just takes it from the poachers hand. #ad

Hemi Dart, I don't think I ever saw The Gods Must Be Crazy 2", those scenes don't ring a bell.
(Translated, that would be: "Ng Kk, Kk-kk Nnk kk urm kk bm kk. ")

There's a newer flick out playing on HBO and the likes called Who Are You,don't think they call it a comedy, but it's the funniest movie I've seen in years, don't miss it.

The finely honed humor of the Marx Brothers...
The "make you think" humor of Monty Python...
The site gags of "Inspector Jacques Clouseau"...
The timeless schtick of the Stooges...

Mel Brooks: The Producers (all the remians of a 400 page script "Spring Time for Hitler") , Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles.

Could be a real long list.

What? No mention of Mike Meyer's Austin Powers and Dr. Evil? He could be the single-most talented comedian alive~! Python does slay me... just love the Grail et al... . but go berserk just thinking of "Mr. Kreosote"!! LOL... . "Bring me my bucket!"
