Lorenz,Carli and Kore all offer a kit which will lift the front 2"-3" in front and about 1"-1 1/2" in back, thus rendering the truck pretty level. If your friend does what you describe he will have an elevated "stinkbug truck".

I installed a 2" lift/leveling kit on mine and bought the rear block kit for a 4" lift kit which lifts the rear exactly 2", this has been on my truck for 2-1/2 years with no problems. I also lowered my center bearing 1" with a block, but I have a longbed.

I had a lift kit installed at a Les Schwab Tire store. Be aware that some fender flare kits and some mud flaps intrude on the wheel well size enough that you still won't get 35" tires to work without rubbing the mud flap.

I'm 57 so thanks for the compliment. By "stinkbug" I meant the front is lower than the rear. In otherwords, you would retain the stock rake by lifting the front and rear an equal 2". Lorenz,Carli and Kore sell performance suspension that increases spring travel while approx. leveling the truck but keeping the center of gravity as low as practical. Hope this helps. We've got a lot of stinkbugs in this part of the country and their stance while walking resembles a typical unladen pickup, nose down, butt up!

That is kind of what I have been thinking of doing to my truck, I just want the whole truck up just a bit. I am not a fan of a level truck, because as soon as you load it, it sit with the nose in the air and looks like the truck can't handle a load.

I just want that extra couple of inches all the way around just to give it a little higher stance.

Sorry for the late response... I had it on my 2005 2500 auto and they were built good. My 06 I purchased the 2. 5-3. 0" coil shock kit since I like the idea of longer spring travel over a spacer with stock coil. I haven't put them on yet however. The 2" spacer should work fine on your truck.

I went with the Fabtech 4. 5" lift kit (stage 2) to level my '06 and clear 35"s, a 2" won't clear the 35"s without rubbing. Great ride quality, better than stock in my opinion. I also added Firestone air bags to keep the nose down when loaded.

I put 2" spacers on the front with a set of 5100 Bilsteins and it clears the 35's

fine. Just a short fix til the little lady agrees with a Kore/Lorenz/Carli. :D
