the best way to ensure a dyno is correct is to start with a bone stock truck and take off 15-18% (drivetrain loss) and that should be the number it shoots out. The dyno is Fresno has always been correct and it is 4-5% lower than the dyno in Las Vegas at Silver state motor sports. The mustang at Roger Vogt's has always been 20-25% lower that than it should be. I was questioning whether is should have gone and dynoed because of the false numbers, but i was there to compete, and if its low, its low for everybody. I was also there to support the local distributor (The Depo). The Depo is talking about having Richard (maddog) bring his dyno down next year. I tried talking them into it this year but they did not want to step on any toes, and thats fine. They need a competent dyno operator and a dyno at the event to keep everybody interested. Richard would would been perfect for the event. Also on another note, Richard would be doing the MAY Maddness event, J&H diesel event , and the Tulare event, and this would ensure same numbers in the west coast (plus or minus SAE correction for altitude and weather).
