Perfection's new 2007

Mine is alright so far. :D I have found that the more fuel you pour to this thing the faster it spools and then what blows me away is that Is the EGT's actually go DOWN the harder I push it. The highest Ive seen the temps is 1350 but haven't pulled a trailer yet or ran it on kill yet. Still experimenting with the new Smarty that came the same day. If the temps are at 1250-1300 in OD while dogging it and I roll into the throttle hard it is instant from 10 psi to 40 psi boost and the egts drop to 1100 and hold no matter what :) . Hopfully the temps do the same with a trailer on also. I'm hoping to hit a dyno in the near future to get the new #'s and see what the temps actually are in kill mode. I'm going to send the comp in for the drag upgrade next week also.

What are your guesses for my new #'s I would like to see 525 and 1150 torque just a guess though. :D

Nobody but me running one here? Who ordered a silver 62 during the group buy? Maybe I should have waited for this thread until after everyone gets the new toys in. Maybe us Silver 62 owners will be a small elite group here :D .

I like to hear stuff like this, it makes me want to send my 66 in to make it a Bullet. Seems like the wheels really like to spin and the bigger exhaust wheel does just that.

I use my truck primarily as a RV tow vehicle, and with current mods, have more fuel than air - that's not necessarily a BAD thing, since I also have more power than I normally can use anyway. Still, a FEW more PSI - below the threshold for needing serious head work, O-ringing and such, IS appealing!

A bit faster spoolup is desirable - but with all the above, LONG LIFE AND RELIABILITY are my #1 priority! It stands to reason that a higher ratio of air to fuel WILL lower EGT's - and I sure will be interested in hearing more about these specific Turbos!

What was the group buy price?

Check with Doug at Diesel Performance Warehouse. It is getting close to done but there is a Group buy through him. He is or has sent in the order for the group buy but you may still catch him and get in. Thanks

Sounds extremely attractive, but I suspect Santa would have to be VERY generous this year for me to come up with enough $$$ to pay for one... :{

I just got my silver bullet 62 today, plan on putting it on tonight then I will let everyone know how I like it.

Not sure what year pickup its going on or what type of intake you have but beware that when this thing spools it sounds like your sitting beside the engine on a big jet plane. Sounds like its going to suck the carpet through the fiewall :-laf .

The guys up at midwest keep trying to get me to send mine in and upgrade to a silver, I have had bad luck taking things off of my truck and sending them in lately so I am a little gunshy. I may do it this spring.

I will add that I would recommend at minimum a 90hp injector with comp to spool this thing. I was running 90 hp bd's and to get a week 40 psi boost I had to go 3-3 and wot. at 4-4 on comp it hit 40 a bit easier. I since went to 155 hp bd's and can spool it to 40 psi with comp on 2-2 with comp on 1-1 I can only get 30 psi. All this is with the Smarty on #4. I think anything less than 90hp sticks you will not get the true potential from this unit.

All who are worried about slow spool up need not worry I ran a BD super B single and this thing is only about 1 sec slower to spool than the BD from a dead idle romp to 10psi from 10 psi on up this thing blows the little BD away.

Everyone says that spool up on the super B can't be beat. that is only true at under 1400 rpm versus this silver62 from 1400 on up this thing cranks  .

Those with manual trannys need to jump on this one it will give awesome spool up times I think versus my auto transmission.

I got my Silver bullet 62 on and WOW, it is awesome. On my 02 with the Smarty on 6 and tst on 6 it boosts 49 lbs and thats where the waste gate opens because I don't have the new head studs in yet. It is very loud, like your next to a jet engine.

Cnoe . what injectors do you have?just curious. my boost elbow must be set lower I have only seen 42 for top side boost but that is only on level 3 comp smarty #4.

Well the test has come and on saturday I will be making some runs on the dyno to see what this thing will do. I am planning on making 3 pulls, 1 with comp and smarty off. Just with bare mechanical mods to see where baseline is. Then to find out for my own curiosity from what I have read I am going to test drag comp only on 5X4 that supposedly does better than 5X5 which will be my last run. no smarty on this dyno session as I don't think it will help from what I have read. I will post results on sunday to see what the silver 62 and other mods will produce on the dynojet. Oo.

Hoping for at least 525 hp 1100 tq we'll see. :)
