Just curious about yu'all who have an 'EZ'; Have you tried moving the jumper to any of the other settings, and what you discovered?
My 'EZ', plus 'DD2's', on the most aggressive setting from the factory is turning my exhaust tip, and also underneath it black!
I have great power #ad
, however, should I move my jumper setting to another position because of overfueling with it with too low of boost when starting at low RPM's?

Robby, I moved mine to the middle position. I have Bosch 275's installed and I was seeing quite a lot of smoke when I tromped on it at low boost. The center position lowered the smoke with no apperant loss of power. Black smoke to me indicates a waste of fuel and incomplete combustion. The change of course is very simple. The hardest part is to keep from loosing the screws and the jumper. With your DD11's I would expect that your truck would look like "Pigpen" in the Peanuts comic strip.

EZ with stock ETH

I put my EZ on with the default setting. Has anyone else with a stock ETH tried the other settings? I just love this little black box, BIG, BIG, difference! I put down 231. 7hp, just last weekend, before the EZ went on, now I cant wait to dyno it again to see how the box helped at the rear wheels!

I have DDIIs and I leave mine on #2. Smoke is there when you 1st shift, but it doesn't do that if you run it up enough. Just sucks when a Powerjoke pulls up next to you and you want to race. That's why I'm going to a comp one day...

EZs cheap

Hey Jim, maybe you'll let me plug that cheap little box in my stocker? Don't forget, you owe Brook a trip to Galena for putting up with your play day in IowaOo.

We'll see you again this summer... . I will not be out bid:{

When I had 275's moving the jumper to the least agressive position cut back on the smoke. Now that I have DD3's and the Power Edge box it makes little difference. I leave it on the most agressive position for the fun of it.

All this jumper does is tell the EZ when to add the little extra fuel is does.

I have a stock 01. 5 HO and on the factory setting I get good power down low and can slip the clutch while pulling my 4300lb trailer. I talked to the Edge folks here in town and they told me moving the jumper to the middle position wouldn't affect the overall power, it would just move it up the RPM range so I don't get such a big hit on the bottom end. I tried the 1st position also and didn't like it there. I'm in the middle and it's just right for what I'm doing.

They have 3 settings ???

I checked mine once, to make sure it was on the most aggressive setting, never shall it leave that position :p :D ;) .

how they said it works

I to have a great EZ box and had/having mpg problems I talked to aron and he said that at the upper setting the power kicks in at 3psi middle 10psi and bottom at 15 psi having no mpg at top or middle I went to the lowest setting and try to drive under the 15psi boost to get mpg and I still get the power when foot is planted on floor. Jim I dynoed 245hp and 535T with EZ set this way I don't think it is possible to drive truck with out the EZ is it?

:)

I put a switch on mine.

Usually drive on #1 to conserve fuel and avoid too much smoke. But then there are times when smoke is fun so I let her rip.

Nixter, next time we meet I will be more than happy to let you try the EZ on your truck.

Cevers, I cant believe I went this long without one. I got some of my friends all wound up here when I let them drive it. I am really surprised it works as well as it does! I think I am gonna try the middle setting, to help save the clutch.

I've run mine on all three settings. I like the most aggressive setting. When I need some smoke to get some joker from riding right off my rear quarter, setting 3 is a godsend :D. I have nothing against DDII's or DDIII's, but if you are going to tow heavy, I wouldn't go with more than the 275's and an EZ, and if you have an auto, I would call Bill K. My mods, without abusing the truck, probably ended the life of my clutch considerably earlier than it would otherwise have lasted. Bigger injectors will only excacerbate the problem. JMO. Either way, you'll have fun.
